Revdex.com spoke with the store Manger of this locationThe hold of the account is not a policy of fast martIt has to do with the customer's card and the bank the customer usesThe funds are released after a day or so they are not kept by the business or the bank

Revdex.com spoke with [redacted] from the businessShe was not aware of the issue but said she would reach out to the GM and the customer directlyShe also stated that if the customer would like to reach out to the store directly he can, she is new ot this store and would like to resolve with issue with him directly

I am rejecting this response because: how would I "accidentally" press the wrong grade of gas when I drive a high end car that clearly only takes premium I am very careful of this at any gas station I purchase gas at since the repairs for my vehicle are priceyAnd the date of your inspection was after the incident had happenedDue to this my cars check engine light came on and was found to have a spent OsensorI have pictures of the pump and the sticker on it from the department of agriculture is not even from this yearClearly you haven't received any complaints about the same incident since most people don't pay much attention what they are putting it their vehicle as I do

At 2:30am on October I approached the cashier on*** abd gave him two *** WatersHe rang up the regular price for bothI reminded him there was a special for $for twoHe said, 'That is expired'I went on to say, 'Why would you have an expired promotion on display'?He stated, 'It was NOT his job to change promtions'I did him the courtesy of walking and checking if the promotion was expired and walked to the sign where it stated it did NOT expire till 10/31/Laziness is one thing but trying to take advantage of a customer who likes Valero's is anotherI definetely wonder what the Revdex.com would think of this and will maybe even jump on thier site and copy this messagePlease train your customer service reps better and please have them change expired promotions IFF they are expired
Thank you,

I also called into your office
border-bottom-style: dashed; border-bottom-">this Monday, and I explained what the customer was thinkingOur gas station has two price: Cash, and credit cardBoth prices has a big display showing the price for each individual option, and the customer has the choice to pay in cash or credit, cash is always cheaperEvery gas station in CA is monitored by the Weight, and Measurements company, the reason being is each pump should give the same amount of gasoline, while taking in the same amount of moneyWe pay a licensing fee each year to the weight and measurements company to get an approval to sell the gas to the public ,To answer his question about how many gallons of gasoline his car takes we don't know if he put all of the gasoline in the car or into gas containers, but every single pump gives the same amount of gas, with equal cost per person

I spoke to you on the phone regarding case no.XXXXXXX, and you asked that I respond in writing about the situationYes Mr.*** *** came to the gas station located at Broadway in Oakland and purchased gas in the amount of $using
his ATM/Debit card,I charged him $fee and the total became $Any purchase under the amount $we charge a $fee, but any purchases made with a Credit Card there is no fee chargedAll gas stations charge a fee in order to use an ATM/Debit cardFor example I used my ATM/Debit card to purchase gas from ARCO and Mach gas stations in the amount of $and was still charged a fee of $Mr.*** *** made three mistakes when purchasing gas from my location, the first mistake was that when he entered his PIN into the PIN Pad he wasn't paying attention because it had informed him the amount and the fee, the second mistake was when he received his receipt he didn't pay attention to the total even though he stood outside and pumped gas, showing he had plenty of time to review it,the third mistake was is that have informed the bank that it shouldn't allow him to purchase over the amount available in his accountMr.*** *** had called me an hour later and told me the same statement he proceeded to give youI told him that he should have paid attention to the PIN Pad when he entered his PIN number and that he should have looked at his receiptHe told me that I should have informed him that we charge a fee and that we should also have a sign that explains about the fees we chargeI told him that I don't have to inform him about any fees that he should already see them on the ATM/Debit screenBesides there are no gas stations who hang signs informing customers of ATM/Debit feesAlso he didn't explain to me that he only had $in his account, I'm not smart enough to know how much money is in his accountI offered him a solution to this problem, I told him that if he came in with the $in cash that I would give him a full refund of $to his ATM accountHe then replied that he didn't have cash available, I told him to come in and that I would refund him the $fee to his ATM accountI told him that when the bank sees the refund it will not charge him an overdraft fee, I told him that if it were to happen that all he had to do was call the bank and connect me and I would explain the whole situationHe said no that he was to far away from my location and that he wasn't willing to do business with us anymore and that he would live with the situationI told him I was sorry to hear that, thanked him and hung up the phoneIf you have any questions or concerns regarding this case please feel free to contact me at XXX-XXX-XXXX

There are no signs in your business anywhere about your debit card feesYou did not tell me about your debit card fees at the time of my purchaseCalifornia Civil Code section prohibits "a merchant from engaging in activity that is unfair or deceptive"

I am in receipt of your letter dated September 20, 2016 regarding a complaint about our store located at 861 Fulton Ave, Sacramento , CA. This location is a branded Valero gas station and convenience store.I have read the complaint and which is unfounded. Firstly our gas equipment is monitored on an annual basis as well as a monthly basis by an outside company, ECO-CHEK. Their last inspection was done on September 28, 2016. They have reported no problems regarding any of the equipment at this location. Secondly, we have received no other complaints regarding this issue from any other customers whom have purchased gasoline products at our location. Secondly, we have received no other complaints regarding this issue from any other customers whom have purchased gasoline products at our location. Our pumps are self-serve and dispense the appropriate grade of gasoline chosen by the customer. We can only conclude that Mr. [redacted] accidently pressed the wrong grade of gas which he dispensed into his vehicle. Bonfare complies with all Federal, State and local governance requirements relating to its operations. While we are sympathetic to Mr. [redacted]'s situation we in no way were at fault in this matter. Should you have any questions please fell free to contact me.Sincerely,CFO

Review: I stopped at Valero for gas. I proceeded to swipe my bank card. It was accepted. I poured $35 and expected the $35 to be taken from my card. However, without any warning or request for acceptance before purchasing, Valero held $100 from my card. This is an unethical practice. With warning I would have had choice to purchase the gas with outrageous holding, pay inside, or go to another station. I called my card issuer and was informed that Valero has an agreement with the bank issuer to automatically hold $100 to be sure the cost of gas is covered. For me this was horribly infuriating! For many it could have been devastating. $100 is enough money for some, such as myself, to buy gas and groceries for a week. Valero should be required to give advance warning and receive permission from a customer before holding funds over and above what is owed. Please tell me what I can do to assist in having this issue resolved and protect others from this extremely unethical practice.Desired Settlement: Rectification and refund and to have their policy changed so that they are required to give advance warning.

Review: I couldve sworn the price I seen pulling into this Valero was a lot cheaper when I finished I was charged 3.45 a gallon for and it said I pumped 14 gallon when I know my car and I only needed roughly 8 gallons Also when I try to find this Valero online it says this valero is permantly closed.Desired Settlement: They are over charging and the gas pumps are adding more money

Review: I went to valero to fill my 2000 f150 up with gas. I had about a 1/4 of a tank of gas and filled it up. The pump said 27 gallons. My truck has a 25 gallon tank, and I had close to a 1/4 already in my tank when I filled it up.Desired Settlement: I want my money back and an explanation why they continued to let people use that pump and not close it, knowing it was stealing from customers when they knew the pump was incorrect.

Review: Cashier didn't give proper change and when asked to recount their draw, she told me to wait for the manager and turned the close sign on me. Waited for the manager for over 2 hours and asked him the procedures to whereas a customer is cheated out of their money and he respond with,"I can check the camera". So, I gave him my name and number, no response. Not only did I not get any money back and/ or a response. I asked for their Business License information so I could make a report to an officer near by. They didn't have any posted. I took the liberty of taking pictures of all sides of the glass just in case it does magically reappear.Desired Settlement: would like my $10.00 in change and an apology letter as we used to use this station all the time because it's convenient but got treated like so crap so now we just ride to another station. Not presenting the business information made me sceptical that they are even suppose to be operating.
