Valet Park of America Reviews (2)

I parked in valet at [redacted] and the kid broke my remote car key. [redacted] refused to fix it. Emailed complaint to [redacted] but no reponse.I parked in valet at [redacted] and the kid broke my remote car key. [redacted] refused to fix it. Emailed complaint to [redacted] but no reponse.Desired SettlementWould like to be refunded the cost of repairing my broken key remote.Business Response [redacted] used our Valet service at [redacted] on 6/27/14. When she arrived, the remote key to her 2004 Honda [redacted] was already broken and taped together. While in our possession, the tape came apart. When the valet returned the car to her, she made a claim for the broken key. We have photographs of the broken key with tape around it from that day. When we spoke with the customer on 7/3/14, we explained to her that since the key was already broken, in no way was it our responsibility to replace it. However, we offered to pay $25.00, which is roughly half the cost of replacing the key, On 7/8/14 we left her a voice mail about this claim but never heard back. We are still willing to pay the customer $25.00 as discussed but have not heard a reply from her.We still have all original claim documents and pictures, as well as a log of communications with the customer, all of which may be provided if necessary. We sincerely hope this complaint is dismissed and that this customer continues to use our valet service in the future. Please let me know the conclusion and if any other information is required to dismiss this complaint.Consumer Response Yes, it was already broken but not in the spot that they broke it. The battery casing was already broken on my remote, but not the actual metal key. They cracked the metal key off the casing. For example, if I had a small dent in my fender, then one of their runners ran my car into a fire hydrant and put a big dent in it, then they would not be responsible for fixing that dent? Is that how this business is run? It only cost me about $40 to get a new key made. At this point it has nothing at all to do with the cost of the key - to me it is the principal of the matter. The runner who broke the key lied about it, his [redacted] lied about it, and then the [redacted] lied about it and would not even take the time to meet with me so I could show him what happened. The photo's did not clearly represent the problem. Lastly when I tried to complain to the [redacted] he ignored my email and did not return my call. The simple gesture of fixing the key would have gone such a long way, and for so little expense to them. It was the fact that they were so deceitful and unprofessional and discourteous about the matter is what bothers me the most. This is clearly a disreputable business and I will have no choice now but to complain to [redacted] and take this to the next level if you are unsuccessful in your mediations. It disturbs me that a [redacted] of this stature would employ such a horrible company. It is very unfortunate for me because I frequent the [redacted] quite often with my handicapped parents. I refuse to use the valet services any longer for fear of more damage, and this will create such a hardship on my elderly parents. Shame on them.

While parked in valet my wallet and two cell phones were stolen!!!!!!!While visiting a relative at [redacted], I used the valet parking. When I returned I immediately noticed that my wallet and two cell phones had been STOLEN. I reported it to the supervisor/manager but I only got the run around. Two weeks later and nothing. I'm disgusted with the treatment I have been receiving. You go to the Hospital to visit your sick relative, park your car in a "secure paid lot", and guess what? Some low life steals your stuf! I would have been better off parking on [redacted] or [redacted] street. I will not recommend this "Valet" service to anyone.Desired SettlementI would like the cell phones to be replaced, cash reimbursment, and the cost accrued to replace licence etc.Business Response [redacted] arrived at [redacted] on August 12 at approximately 8 PM and utilize valet service. She arrived with a friend who was taken into the emergency room. I have attached a document from [redacted] indicating the patient's name as [redacted]. This document indicates that [redacted] had a wallet and two cell phones along with $18 in bills in this person's possession. These items were signed over to security at [redacted] for safekeeping. There are a Couple important facts in this complaint;Number one, the wallet and two cell phones are not owned by [redacted] but in fact this other person [redacted]. This document is proof that security took possession of these items on August 12, 2013 and they were not in the vehicle and she states.Number two, [redacted] security as indicated to me that they still had possession of these items until September 4 when they were picked up by [redacted]. [redacted] security has indicated to us that they would NOT have released these items to anyone but the patient who is listed in the upper left-hand corner on the sheet attached. I am waiting for security to provide us with a document detailing these items being released.Other facts that were verified by our investigative team was that her vehicle was dropped off on August 12 at 8 PM and was picked back up by [redacted] on August 13 at 2 PM. This vehicle was locked while in our possession the entire time. During that time Hospital video concludes no one went to that vehicle or had the keys other than Valet and [redacted] security. To summarize these items are owned by [redacted] and were taken into possession by [redacted] security on August 12 upon this person being admitted to the emergency room and were not picked up or released to anyone until the owner [redacted] picked them up on September 4. All of this was explained to [redacted] and her mother on numerous occasions by [redacted] in my office. Also I have personally tried to contact her by phone twice leaving messages and no one responding or following up on my calls.I hope that you completely dismiss this complaint against my company. Please let me know your conclusion and if you need or require anything else from us.Sincerely,[redacted]Valet Park of America
