RE: ID # [redacted] To Whom It May Concern:We are responding to the above complaint regarding repair Issues.First, I would like to state that this particular vehicle was in our possession for a number of months and we had no issues whatsoever with the vehicleThe customer was in on two separate occasions and personally checked the vehicle out thoroughly, and they also did not see any Issues with the vehicleWhen this Individual decided to purchase the vehicle they had issues with their insurance company and we went so far as to lower the purchase price on two different occasions and ended up selling the vehicie for less than what we had investedWe always encourage and recommend a warranty, which we sell to the customer at our cost, as we are dealing with used vehiclesThis individual refused the warranty.Having said this, the allegation that It broke down three times In miles after purchase is truly hard to believeThe allegation about the electrical system shorting out due to "water got in” is also curious since it sat outside on display all the months that we had It and we did not have any problem with water getting inFor all we know, the sunroof could have been left open.We did not hear of any problem until the electrical problemGiven the customer's demeanor, I find It hard to believe that the vehicle had already broke down three times and we had not heard about ItHe readily wanted to say we knew it had a problem and that it was now our problemHe was reminded that he refused the warranty and we are not obligated to "fix" anything at our cost We suggested that the individual come In to discuss It In person and he hung up on usWe would deny that we hung up on the customer. It is our position that if the customer would have handled this matter In a more civil way, we could have tried to at least help him with getting parts at our cost to repair the electrical shortWhat caused this problem, If not user error, may have been something as simple as a clogged sunroof drain, which is common In the type of weather conditions we have recently had.The bottom line is the customer was offered a warranty at our cost which they refusedThere is now an issue and they don't want to accept responsibility.Sincerely,Darrell *S [redacted] Valley Auto Sales

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
This is an absolute lieFor one thing, this man NEVER EVER OFFERED US A WARRANTY AT ALL. My husband has been a mechanic yrsHe did try and find any defects ,however the computer for this car is car is in wheel well and would be unable to know if anything wrongLeaving a sunroof open (which who would do this in winter) would not even affect a wheel well issue so that blows that theoryThis car has been in a garage daily. This had to have been known aboutWe have also contacted our attorney and the atty generalI called State Senator and was told how to handle thisWe bought in good faithThe car is at a repair shop and I would welcome you to call & speak to the ownerAlso my husband DID NOT HANG up on Jason S*I sat right here while they had conversation and he never offered to discuss it or anything & my husband was angry when Jason hung up on himThat letter was an entire lieWe have no reason to make up stories, this car is so new to us that the plate just came last week.

RE: ID #[redacted] To Whom It May Concern:We are responding to the above complaint regarding repair Issues.First, I would like to state that this particular vehicle was in our possession for a number of months and we had no issues whatsoever with the vehicle. The customer was in on two separate...

occasions and personally checked the vehicle out thoroughly, and they also did not see any Issues with the vehicle. When this Individual decided to purchase the vehicle they had issues with their insurance company and we went so far as to lower the purchase price on two different occasions and ended up selling the vehicie for less than what we had invested. We always encourage and recommend a warranty, which we sell to the customer at our cost, as we are dealing with used vehicles. This individual refused the warranty.Having said this, the allegation that It broke down three times In 900 miles after purchase is truly hard to believe. The allegation about the electrical system shorting out due to "water got in” is also curious since it sat outside on display all the months that we had It and we did not have any problem with water getting in. For all we know, the sunroof could have been left open.We did not hear of any problem until the electrical problem. Given the customer's demeanor, I find It hard to believe that the vehicle had already broke down three times and we had not heard about It. He readily wanted to say we knew it had a problem and that it was now our problem. He was reminded that he refused the warranty and we are not obligated to "fix" anything at our cost We suggested that the individual come In to discuss It In person and he hung up on us. We would deny that we hung up on the customer. It is our position that if the customer would have handled this matter In a more civil way, we could have tried to at least help him with getting parts at our cost to repair the electrical short. What caused this problem, If not user error, may have been something as simple as a clogged sunroof drain, which is common In the type of weather conditions we have recently had.The bottom line is the customer was offered a warranty at our cost which they refused. There is now an issue and they don't want to accept responsibility.Sincerely,Darrell *. S[redacted] Valley Auto Sales
