Ms. [redacted], did not apply for an apartment with Countryside Apartments, located at [redacted] Dr. Columbus Ohio 43228. She applied for another property at a location in Fairfield CountyOhio. Ms. [redacted], applied on 8/25/2015, once we pulled her credit we noticed she owed a utility billand per...

our company rules one must pay that balance in full before we are able to rent to them and werequested she pay the balance before we could process any further. At this time, Ms. [redacted] was upsetbecause her voucher was about to expire, and she was in hurry to find a place to live (not because wefailed to complete any work) that she would pay it in full and email the copy of the payment. Once Ms.[redacted] paid the balance, we approved her with a $350.00 deposit. To continue to hold the unit, Ms.[redacted] was informed she must pay her deposit of $350.00 and she did with a money order. On the first round of inspections, it failed for a stove not being plugged in and another smallitem; it passed on the second inspection. We fixed that right away and held the unit for a month, notrenting it to any other person or collecting rent, in an agreement that she would be moving in. WhenMs. [redacted] went into FMHA, they were not willing to pay as much for her as she had been hoping andshe was upset then decided she was not going to move since it was not enough; not because there wasan issue with the apartment, or because we did not meet the deadline, but, because of her owndecision.Ms. [redacted], called and wanted her deposit back, it was explained that it would be forfeited sincewe held the apartment and she decided not to move-in. At this point, Ms. [redacted] was getting veryhostile and cursing. We were unable to finish the conversation and she stated she would be coming intothe rental office, we told her that we would be here until 5 o'clock. Ms. [redacted], never showed that dayand about a week later she called back demanding her deposit again and we stated the same thing, thatwe held the apartment and lost rent on the unit not knowing she was not going to move-in. Ms. [redacted],asked to speak to me and Diane placed her on hold and Ms [redacted] hung up. She called back multipletimes after yelling to the point that no one could understand. Ms. [redacted] called back later and the dayand spoke to me, and asked for our e-mail address- which I gave to her.On October 16th, 2015 we received a complaint from the Revdex.com and have responded according.Thank you,[redacted]Property Manager

Mr. [redacted], applied for an apartment with Countryside on 12/29/2015, and paid the $25.00application fee and signed all documents related to renting a unit. On January 8th, 2016 Mr. [redacted] wasapproved for an apartment and was told he would need to bring his deposit in within 3 business days tohold the...

apartment until his move in date. Mr. [redacted] was aware that this deposit is nonrefundable, andhe signed and dated his name to the agreement which you will find a copy of behind this letter. Theapplication is cut and dry and there is nothing hard to understand. The week of his move-in Mr. [redacted] called multiple times, stating he was no longer interested inmoving in; which we said was okay, that we would return the pro-rated rent that he decided to pay earlyalong when he brought in his deposit. When he was told he would not receive his deposit back, hestated he only did not want to move-in because he found a police report that a car had been brokeninto. I tried to speak to Mr. [redacted], and reassure him that sometimes things happen and car break-inscould happen in any area of town. I lived onsite for many years along with residents from the early 80'sthat are still here and they have had no issues. Later that day his sister called, and explained that Mr.[redacted] had a room-mate that had backed out on him (which we were unaware of) which is why he nolonger wanted to move-in and she wanted to clearly understand the policy as far as a deposit return. We spoke for quit sometime and she seemed too understand. I told her the only way to receive adeposit back, is if the apartment was not ready or something horribly wrong that was not able to befixed . Every staff member walked the unit that day and all was well.I personally, was not in the office the day Mr. [redacted] came into sign his lease agreement. Thesetwo staff members can provide their own statement. I know Mr. [redacted] showed up over an hour earlythat day compared to his original lease signing time. I did receive a text message at 2:58PM, which I willalso provide asking if we are allowed to hand out a copy of the application and I answered, yes. Whichwas provide to Mr. [redacted] along with the statement of: He will received his pro-rated rent back just notthe deposit.Diane, was the leasing agent trying to sign a lease with Mr. [redacted] that day, and one more staffmember as also inside the office. We also have a video camera out front with recording. Diane, nevertried to close the office and pushed Mr. [redacted] out the front door and lock it at 4pm. Our office hoursare 'Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm.I spoke to Mr. [redacted] the following Monday, over the phone and he refused to give me a mailingaddress to send back his pro-rated rent, so I sent it back to the address on file. The deposit on the unit,is nonrefundable as Mr. [redacted] decided not to move in. A check for $309.91 was sent out on 01/21/2016for his pro-rated rent

[redacted] brought his boat in to have it checked out, it was not running and we found water in the engine. Called [redacted], and he said find out why motor is full of water. We found a cracked manifold. Ordered a new one from manufacturer, but it is no longer available. Called Volvo Penta...

(manufacturer), they had a new one for twice the money. Called [redacted] and he declined. [redacted] payed the $405.00 for the inspection, and left.

Review: It was too good to be true the guy who's runs the shop told me they were the number one boat shop in az and I fell for it. I took my boat there to get diagnosed . it went from $286.00 to $405.00 diagnostics fee.(1st red flag) then I was told it was my intake manifold and if I wanted them to proceed it would be 1300 to fix I agreed then the next day it turned into $1731.00 dollars I said no I want the boat back so I went and payed the $405.00 to get my boat back upon returning home I opened the engine comparent and all my parts were missing I called and they said they forgot to put them back in to bring the boat back so I did so. Finally when I got there we made an agreement that they would do the work for the 1731.00 and it would be done the following week. The following week I called and called and finally Thursday July 30 2015 (exactly a week later) I was informed that they ordered the part but its discontinued so they would have to order it from another place and its now going to cost an additional $400.00 I said no and I stated I just want my boat back the way I took it to you valley marine and he said well its taken apart if you want it put back together its gonna cost you. When I told him I would report it to the Revdex.com he said and I quote (do what you have to do) I went and picked up my disassembled boat which is now worse than before and my interior is now gone as well . I'm a business man my self and this is not good business .Desired Settlement: I want at least the $405.00 I spent .fair is fair and this isn't fair this is wrong to do to people
