Valley Recovery Center of California Reviews (4)

Review: I was referred to Valley Recovery Center of California by [redacted] for rehab treatment for alcohol dependency. I was told I would be responsible for a co-pay of $100. (I have witnesses who can substantiate this.) When I arrived at Valley Recovery, I was told I must be "detoxed" and I would be responsible for payment, at the rate of $600 per day, up to a maximum of $3,000. I objected and considered not entering rehab. I was assured that something could be worked out later and "not to worry" about the detox fees. I gave the appropriate notice when I left the facility. I was billed for $100 and paid that bill.

Valley Recovery has billed me for an additional $2,409.90 and $3,600. I retained an attorney and disputed these charges in writing on October 10, 2015. Valley Recovery has refused to respond to my attorney's letter or return her phone calls. On November 30, 2015, [redacted] confirmed that the bill for $3,600 should have been for $100. Valley Recovery continues to bill me for $6,009.90.Desired Settlement: I would like Valley Recovery to work with Kaiser to correct the bill, note that I have paid it on time and in full, and correct any negative references on my credit report.

Response:

My apologies for not responding sooner. I have been in contact with the Customer and have re-issued a corrected claim to Kaiser on March 10th. We have not received a response from his insurance as of yet; however, we are working diligently to resolve this issue. Please let us know if there is any other information that is needed on our part. Thanks,*

Please update the file to note I received an email from the business showing I have a zero balance. If anything should change, I will contact you. Thanks again for all you guys do. You guys are a huge asset to the public and I truly believe that without your help, I would still be in dispute with this company. Enjoy your Friday and have a great weekend!

Review:
Unethical, unprofessional, and dishonest. Worst rehab I have ever been to. They lie to get you in, and to create an "individualized" treatment plan, and make promise after promise. They claimed it would be affordable. They claimed skills needs for starting a life of recover would be taught. All smoke and mirrors; clients were disregarded, care/education was nonexistent, and staff were so self-absorbed and arrogant. Never been treated worse for having an addiction in my life! There was no support, no learning, no recovery. I can't believe Chris Herren, an incredible man in recovery, is affiliated with such a horrible excuse for a treatment center.

Review: On July 18, 2014, I checked into Valley Recovery Center of California". I was "pre-approved" by my insurance company as this was one of their "preferred provider" facilities. My mother paid her portion of the bill on her credit card which was $2,200.00(My mother is responsible for my bills). I stayed at this facility for approx 1 month. On June 14, 2015, I received a bill from Valley Recovery Center for $3,702.00. One year later I get this bill!! No explanation. No idea what its for. Please help me with this dispute. I live with my parents. My address is [redacted]. Please speak with my mother as these are in her name.Desired Settlement: I was "pre-approved" by my insurance company as this was one of their "preferred provider" facilities......I do not owe this balance

I am rejecting this response because: I am happy to see they are working on it, but to my knowledge, I have not been contacted.
