I.D. [redacted]Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted] is misreading our guidelines. The section labeled "Items That Will Be Picked Up At The Curb" is intended to further breakdown and explain how the carpet must be cut and bound. Earlier in the Guidelines it clearly explains that the City of Beaver Falls allows...

for one free bulk item to be picked up curbside during the first week of each month. Any additional bulk items set out in the same month would require a sticker to be purchased at an additional charge.Ms. [redacted] is welcome to put a roll of carpet out the first week of any month and have it disposed of free of charge, otherwise she will have to purchase a sticker and pay an additional charge. If she so chooses, she can hold additional roles and put one out the first week of each month without additional charge. There are close to 3000 residents in Beaver fails and none have read the Guidelines and complained that they are incorrect. I apologize for any misunderstanding that Ms. [redacted] may have had. Hopefully this will clear matters up for her.Sincerely,[redacted]General ManagerValley Waste Service, Inc

Dear Ms. [redacted]                    I.D.[redacted]We apologize for the trouble and inconvenience to Ms. [redacted]. Our driver had tried both ends of her road and didn’t realize he could still access her home.Even though it is not our norm, we will...

credit her one week of trash service ($5.13). Again we apologize for any inconvenience.Sincerely,Joseph O[redacted]General ManagerValley Waste Service, Inc

Dear [redacted]ID. [redacted]Please allow me clarify the chain of events that occurred to answer Mr. [redacted]’s stated problem and desired settlement. Mr. Reed P[redacted] did announce he was retiring at the end of 2017 after over 40 years in the trash business. He selected Valley Waste Services as his...

successor to continue to provide superior trash and recycling services to the fine residents of Bell Acres Borough.Valley Waste then set up a meeting with the Bell Acres Borough Council ([redacted] and [redacted]). At that meeting their Council requested we provide each resident with a 95 gallon trash cart and a 95 gallon recycling cart, as well as increase the recycling service from once a month pick up to every other week pick up. Our monthly pricing was based on these requests. We even made arrangements to provide Seniors with two smaller size carts at a discounted rate, provided they show proof of age (65yrs).As far as our “Welcome Letter” (what Mr. [redacted] refers to as instructions) making Bell Acres’ residents feel like convicts, we have used the same format for years, with every municipality we handle, without a single complaint or misunderstanding. We do not feel we need to apologize for doing our jobs and will not issue one month, free service to Mr. [redacted]. We plan on, and will provide, the fine residents of Bell Acres with exemplary trash and recycling services for, hopefully, many years to come.Sincerely,JosephO[redacted] General Manager Valley waste Service, Inc.

Dear [redacted]ID [redacted]We have had problems on the recycle portion of Ms. [redacted] route. Good, new drivers have been tough to come by, recently, and we have been forced to pick up the recycling for that route on Saturdays instead of the normal every other Thursday. We should have done a...

better job of communicating that and for this I do apologize. On the brighter side, we have been fortunate to secure new drivers into our pool and since 9/1 have been able to return to the regular Thursday recycle pick-up, and expect to do so going forward. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to doing a better job of servicing you in the future.Sincerely,[redacted] General ManagerValley Waste Service, Inc

Dear Ms. [redacted], ID, [redacted]We apologize for the trouble and misinformation given to Ms. [redacted]. We Immediately stopped service effective April 7th and removed the car., The account was closed, as Ms. [redacted] requested, with no balance due.Sincerely,Joseph O[redacted]General ManagerValley Waste Services,...

Review: I used to own a home at [redacted] Pa. But no longer do this house was sold to the county for taxes owed on the house. I have contacted Valley Waster at least 5 times to let them know that I no longer am the home owner and that they need to quit sending me the bill for waster pick-up. Every time that I call after they send me a bill, they keep telling me that I still own the home. This is about the forth bill that they have sent to me. I do not want this to be on my credit history, I have asked and ask that they fix this issue, and they tell me there is nothing that they can do. I need to know to whom I need to contact to resolve this issue. They are not willing to give me any help. This house has been sitting emptied for over 10 years and there is no waste or trash that needs their service for.Thank you , [redacted]Desired Settlement: Stopped sending me bill for this service when I no longer own the home.

Review: This is beyond ridiculous dealing with this company. The garbage men themselves are straight disrespectful to people's property. They BEYOND destroyed my $40 garbage can by throwing it around, and then to add insult to injury, REFUSE to take it. There is no mistake about it, the can is literally in pieces. Why do I pay the bill? For them to take my garbage is why I pay. I even put a note on the can, "TAKE IT, THAT'S WHY I PAY THE BILL." Still nothing, this is close to 2 months now. I've called on numerous occasions and get told the same thing every single time. "We will notify the drivers to come get it today, if for some reason they can't, it will be picked up tomorrow. The route supervisor will be informed, that is totally unacceptable, (so far everything about this company has been)and something will be done. You will reimbursed for the can." Well guess what, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE FOR ALMOST TWO MONTHS!!! What the hell am I paying these people for? The garbage men are rude, the customer service people in the office are ignorant, and blatant liars. I'm close to taking whatever legal action I can to get this problem resolved once and for all. Also, when you see the attached picture, it has obviously been getting worse, which brings up the next point that there is absolutely no mistake about it, you can CLEARLY see that it's garbage, yet no one takes it. This company should be ashamed of what's been going on. It's reasons like this that they have a 1 star rating on Google. It would probably be 0 out of 5, but you're required to rate at least a one. Also, I've made a lot more complaints than you're allowing me to put on here.Desired Settlement: First and foremost, I want the can taken. Secondly, I would like either reimbursed, or the can physically replaced. Third, I would like an apology of some sort regarding this entire matter.

Review: I have been a loyal Valley Waste client for almost five years. Over the past six months, Valley has repeatedly gone downhill in service. Prior to this time period, I used to recommend Valley to everyone. I have nearly 5 calls in to the office (of which the calls are returned promptly) and nothing seems to change. There is zero communication when the drivers are going to be late and apparently our recycling day is now Saturday instead of Thursday? This was not communicated via mail or any other way. IF service does not improve as soon as possible, I will be leaving Valley as soon as my advance paid quarter is up. I am not the only one who is dissatisfied.Desired Settlement: Please hire new drivers or hold your drivers responsible for timely pick-up. Please communicate with your customers better.

Review: We contacted this business in December and requested to cancel services due to them not picking up our trash on numerous occasions. They said we couldn't cancel until March, but that they would put a note in and make sure the service was cancelled. We then called in March and they stated that our contract automatically renewed and that if we wanted to cancel we would have to pay for 6 months of services. I reported to them that we had already tried to cancel and they said that they needed it in writing. I explained that no one told us that when we called in December.Desired Settlement: I would like to contract and our services cancelled and not have to pay for 6 months of services.

Review: Under the "City of Beaver Falls Important Guidelines" that Valley Waste, Inc. has posted on their website and mailed to me in the recent past there is a heading that reads "ITEMS THAT WILL BE PICKED UP AT THE CURB" and a bullet underneath says:

*All carpets, rugs and padding must be cut in sections no longer than 48" in length and securely rolled and tied, weighing 40 pounds or less. (In bold) One (1) section per week may be placed out for collection. Additional quantities are subject to an additional charge.

On the morning of my trash pickup, Valley Waste, Inc. did not pick up the one roll of carpet I set out. They left a note saying that it required a special sticker. I called Valley Waste, Inc and spoke to a customer service representative. I was told us that it would not be picked up because it is a "bulky item". Their description for bulky waste on their "City of Beaver Falls Important Guidelines" DOES NOT include carpet, and besides that - it clearly states that I am entitled to one roll of carpet per week.Desired Settlement: I want an apology from the company.

I want my one roll of carpet to be picked up each week OR - they need to amend their advertised guidelines.

Review: My wife got a bill from this garbage collection company who does not pick up our garbage. They bought the collection route from another garbage collection co. by the name of [redacted] Co. starting the first of year 2014. We received applications for service from Valley butnever applyed. We would never deal with this garbage outfit because in the past there garbagetrucks snagged electric lines in front of our house which pulled out the electric lines to our house and cost me almost $500 to repair. When talking to this companys manager they said the fault rests on [redacted],[redacted] or [redacted] that they are self-insured. We recieved a bill in March 2014 for $91.50 , I called the office and the woman said she would cancel it. TodayApril 3, we receive a bill for $37.68. This is herassment to senior citizens we pay all our bills and don't owe anyone. We have our gabage pick-up by a very good company not one who thinks they are a monopoly and we have to go with them.I guesstalking to their office manager who doesn't seem to understand works so I am referring this complaint to you.Desired Settlement: To quit sending out bogus bills for services not received
