Hoosier apologizes for any confusion that there may have beenWe run credit on potential customers to qualify them for any
special promotions that we have at that timeHoosier Windows is very vigilant in making sure that we only run credit on people who sign up to do soWe can only run credit when people sign that they want us to do so and people do not have to sign up if they do not wantWe still give free quote to anyone that wants one even if they do not want to see if they qualify for special promotions
It is not possible for us to take the inquiry off of the credit reportWe have tried, but the credit bureau is saying that the customer gave us and them permission to do soHoosier Windows and Siding did nothing wrong and followed all of the policies that are in placeAgain, we are sorry for any confusion, but we pulled the credit report with signed permission from a potential customer

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
No need to apologize, the damage is done and I will never do business with you and will try to convince others not to do business with you either
Just like you, I followed all policies too and did nothing wrong, but the outcome and experience after contacting you was disastrous to say the least
My complaint is NOT about running my credit, I totally understand thatMy complaint is about two things:
Sales rep not voluntarily disclosing that information beforehand
I politely called you, twice (when once should've been enough), asking you the favor to remove the hard inquiry in my report since, after all, I didn't do business with you! You agreed to remove the hard inquiry from my report
This ended up being a lie because you never really worked on removing the inquiry from my report
Before I contacted you, I called Equifax and asked them how the process worked and they told me that I needed to ask you so you can call them and have the hard inquiry removedI gave them permission to remove it when you contacted them
You say you called the "bureau" but you don't even specify which one, which leads me to believe you didn't call at allActually, if you did, you would've called me when you called the "bureau" and would've had a 3-way callI haven't received a call from you at all
The only way I will remove this complaint or mark it as resolved is when you take that hard inquiry from my report
Unlike this complaint, the hard inquiry will fall of my report within the next monthsBut this complaint will remain on Revdex.com for a very, very long time and many potential customers will sure read it
For those customers that read this complaint, **beware** of the business practices of Hoosier Windows and Siding

The unprofessionalness of the sales rep was addressed with the homeowners the day after it occurred, and the sales rep has been reprimanded because of his actions. The owner also called the homeowners to apologize and to...

tell them to talk to him directly if they had any other problems. At this time he also told him that they were not under any obligation to do the work with us at that time. They insisted to go ahead with the contract and brought the down payment directly to our office. The contract does not say anything about installing an air conditioner.
At the time of the final window measurements on March 24, the installation manager made the homeowners aware that the air conditioner may not be able to be put back in the new window.
On May 2, during the installation of the windows, our installers made the determination in their professional opinion that the A/C unit should not be put back in because it was too heavy. After the completion of the contracted job, we called the homeowners to tell them that we would go above and beyond our contract and would out in the A/C unit if they bought the brackets.
On May 5, our installation manager and a helper showed up to install the A/C unit and asked the homeowner to sign a waiver of responsibility as we can not warranty any after products in our windows. She refused to sign and told our installation department to "take our (profanity) sign and get off of her (profanity) yard."
Our contract clearly states: SELLER MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO ACCESSORIES OR PARTS NOT SUPPLIED BY IT.
Our contract clearly states: NO VERBAL AGREEMENT RECOGNIZED.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/05/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The owner did tell me that he wouldn't hold us to the contract but how was I suppose to know at that time what type of company I was allowing to work on my home, how was I suppose to know they're a bunch of liars? He reassured me that they would do a wonderful job if I would allow him to make things right, that they are a family owned business and he doesn't condone the way the salesman acted. He guaranteed me that I would never hear from the salesman again and they would do an excellent job if allowed the chance. I called the owner to discuss what was going on with the AC unit and he wouldn't call me back, instead he had [redacted] call me so he never spoke to me after the first call concerning his unprofessional salesman. The installation manger never told my husband the AC unit might not be able to go back into the window what he did say was that we might want to think about having it put in the wall because its more efficient that way and my husband told him that wasn't an option, that it had to go back in the window, just like we told the salesman numerous times and they both said it would be able to go back in the window, that it would not be a problem at all is what we was told by both men. I wouldn't allow them to put the AC unit in my window because as they stated in their response, their installers said the window would not hold the unit so why would I allow them to do that kind of damage to our home? I absolutely told them to get their sign out of my yard. I would not advertise for a company that acts the way these people acted and misleads people the way they've mislead my husband and I. I also want the screen to be replaced that come from the factory torn but I wont hold my breath because that wasn't in the contract! In my opinion, the fact their contract states NO VERBAL AGREEMENT RECOGNIZED proves what type of underhanded company this is, it shows that they know how to twist and turn things to reel people in by allowing them to think their getting this great deal, when all we got was the expense of having to get the AC installed.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2015/06/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
All this company does is lie! They where 100% aware of the screen being torn because [redacted] called me to see how the install went and to set up a time to get the screen in order for it to be replaced. We didn't know the screen was ripped until their installers made us aware of it! The Ac unit has been installed into the wall of our home and that came with a price tag of $500 so I guess I will be looking into small claims court because as I've said countless times and at their own admittance every last lying worker that come out to our home other than the installers said the unit could go back in the window without any waiver being signed, any void in the warranty and any kind of damage to the window. We was even told a special window should of been offered to be made to hold the unit by [redacted] and [redacted] at the time of the demonstration! I absolutely told them to get their [redacted] sign out of my yard, that I would not advertise for a lying, cheating, underhanded company however, I didn't have to tell them to leave, they was already leaving threating to sue me because as in states in their contract final payment is due when job is complete and it wasn't complete to our satisfaction so I didn't write them a check as they kept demanding me in my front yard! Bent over backwards for me? By costing my husband a I an additional $500 because they're a bunch of liars? Its funny they just come this morning to replace the screen its been over a month since the windows where installed. I guess it was just so they could write another response full of their lies!

The screen has already been replaced. We were unaware of the problem until she wrote it in her response. All service issues will get taken care of with a phone call to our office.
AGAIN, Hoosier Windows and Siding does not install air conditioners. We install windows. All window manufacturers have no warranty on their windows if you install a window air conditioner. It does not mean that the window will not hold the air conditioner. We do recommend to customers other options on what can be done with their window air conditioner. Her air conditioner will absolutely fit in the windows she purchased, but it voids warranty just in that window if damaged. This is the reason it is stated in the contract that Mrs. [redacted] signed on 3/21/15.
We advised her that it would fit in her window with the proper support brackets. She did go buy universal brackets and wanted us to pay for them. We offered to install the air conditioner using her new brackets on 5/5/15. She did not like that we were being clear that we could not warranty the air conditioner or any damage done by the air conditioner. That is when she told us to get the [redacted] off her property.
We at Hoosier Windows & Siding have bent over backwards for this customer and will continue to warranty her windows, not the air conditioner.
