Review: I was looking for different companies to purchase night club carpets and bar stools. I landed "value carpet online" an online company and made inquiries. During our conversations with the contact person named [redacted], he told me that he would find me contemporary bar stools which I agreed to. The purchaser is one [redacted] who lives in [redacted]. My job here in was to look for the product, negotiate the prices and recommend it to my partner for the final purchase. We agreed to purchase stools that amounted to $29'990 which was paid upfront in full. Unfortunately 75% of what was delivered is not what we had agreed to, they were completely different. I notified Value carpet and they picked up the return on 03-05-2014. I made it clear through phone conversations that we need the refund of $17,800 soon enough so the rest of the money could be used for something else. [redacted] and another lady who called her self "[redacted](not sure of the spelling) told me that they are waiting on "[redacted]"(company where the items where bought) to give them a refund and they pass it on to me. I insisted on breaking down the amount they owe but they refused. I asked them to put everything in writing and they still refused. They are now not picking my phone calls and I am very very suspicious something is not right and they will not refund that money.Desired Settlement: All I want is the $17,800

This letter is in response to [redacted] complaint to you on 4/7/14. [redacted] called us in October of 2013 and started gathering information on products and pricing. He negotiated for large amounts of carpeting and bar stools at a discounted price. We then received a deposit of $29,864 on December 13‘“, 2013. This initially was suppose to be a deposit towards 600 bar stools of various styles. Over the period offline from December 13th until February 14th he changed his mind several times; from 600 to 514 to 250 then finally to 200 pieces. [redacted]was very indecisive because 011 February 6th 2014 he decided on 250 pieces, then on February 20th he called and changed the amount once again from 250 to 200 pieces. His explanation was that they could not afford the 514 stools. He then instructed us that he would purchase Whatever the deposit could buy. I explained to him that we would honor the original discounted prices, but that the shipping cost would be more, because of the LTL shipment. He was not pleased; however he requested a delivery deadline of February 27'“. We sent him a total of 200 bar stools which was delivered to him on schedule. few days later on March 4 [redacted] call to say that he wanted to return some of the stools. We explained that we could exchange them for him and that the Only times that returns are accepted is if they are damaged. He then started to pretend that he was not aware of the policy. In addition we reminded him that there is a restocking fee of 30% but that we would waive it when the exchange took place. We offered to exchange them for other styles that he wanted and he acknowledged by sending us pictures of the stools he wanted instead. Two days later when their replacement was ready for shipment, he called to say he did not want them again and that he just wanted a refund. [redacted] knew what our policy was from the beginning; no “exchange only”. It was sent to his mailing address 031 February 24th 2014 as he requested. Enclosed you will final copy to support some of what took place during this period. He kept 82 and returned 118 bar stools. Based on the 82 bar stools, including shipping cost this is the final break down.

Initial deposit: $29,864.00 Stools kept: $14,464.00 Shipping: $1.830.00 Sub Total: $16,294.00 Exchange: $13,570.00 Restocking fee: 4,071.00

Stool credit: $ 9,499.00 : During this time since October 2013 to April 2014 we were in constant communication at least three to four times per week with [redacted]. In the end he was very belligerent in handling the matter and stated that he would not accept the terms of our policy and that he would define the policy.

We have made it clear to [redacted] several times that the bar stools are available whenever he is ready to have them shipped or picked up at his convenience.
