Value Cleaners

In the fall of 2014, I took two comforters and four pillow shams to Value Cleaners to be cleaned for the first time. I've been taking my clothes to both of their locations for a while and everything has been great so I thought they would do the same good job on my comforters. I picked up the items and put them in our closet to be used for a vacation rental we own at Lake Tahoe. On the day the guests were arriving, I pulled the comforters and shams out of the plastic wrap and put them on the beds. They had shrunk so badly that we had to drive to Reno that morning and purchase replacements since the renters were arriving. Later that week I went to the cleaners and was given the manager's number. I called and he had me bring the items back to the cleaners so they could stretch them. It didn't work. After two more phone calls and being told my comforters were old, I asked for a $200.00 cleaning credit which was approximately half of what I paid originally. This did not include the additional money I had to use to purchase new comforters at the last minute. The manager said he would talk to the owner but he never called me back. I tried calling three more times and left my card at the business and still no response.
