Value Plus Mobile should not be in business. They are complete scam artists. This is not a legitimate business. I asked them to explain my bill, and they hung up on me. They made no effort to resolve my issues. I have all the proof that payment was paid on time, but they refuse to listen. I cancelled my account as they said on January 2, 2014, but why am I charged for January 1, 2014 to February 1, 2014. Then they kept on charging me late fees. I asked them for a receipt that I paid my balance, and they just hung up on me. 
 
I told Mike Ashe that on my last month before I cancelled my account that I wanted a $5.95 plan. They made no attempt to change my plan. When I called to cancel my service and pay my final balance, Mike Ashe assured me everything was OK after I have them my credit card. I did not use my phone after I cancelled my account. They can check my minutes used. I didn't want to argue and I paid for the monthly plan. Mike Ashe assured me everything is settled, but then next month I have another bill.
 
I am not asking for any refunds, all I ask is for this business to be watched. $15.75 for late fees a month? What major telephone or Mobile service company charges that much? They need to train their customer service department. They tell you everything is fine, and there is zero balance, but they still charge you for next month. If you complain, they will charge you late fees next month. They have no desire to resolve issues. I hope they are not doing this to their other customers. They claim they have a 24 hour customer service, but after 5 PM a telephone operator answers the phone and they provide absolutely zero customer support. they just take messages.  
 
I will never deal with this company, and hope no one uses this company. Go to t-mobile, Sprint, or get a pre-paid cellphone.

Review: I ended my mobile phone service on January 2, 2014, and paid the total balance due, but I keep on getting unnecessary charges and late fees.

On January 2, 2014, I ended my phone service with this company. I told them how much I owed them, and they gave me a total. I paid the total amount due by credit card, but they keep on charging me unnecessary charges, and they claim that my service was not cancelled. They are charging me ridiculous late fees for January, February, March, April, and May, when I ended my service on January 2, 2014. I told them I ended my service with a guy called Mike Ashe, and they don't want to listen. I called them today on May 28, 2014, and they don't even want to go over the billing period, and they hung up on me. They are hard to deal with. They keep on charging me late fees when I clearly paid them. Mike Ashe even told me my bill is settled on Jan. 2, 2014, but now they change their story claiming I owe them late fees.Desired Settlement: I want them to stop sending me letters that I still owe them money, and charging me more late fees every month for services I did not use. I paid them in full on January 2, 2014.

In October 2013, customer signed up for service on a 450-minute plan for $27.99 per month plus taxes. Service to the account was disconnected due to non-payment on 12.10.13 because the monthly service invoice dated 11.11.13 had not been paid. Customer called 12.12.13 questioning why service was off. He made a credit card payment that day in order to have service re-established. His service was reconnected on 12.13.13. On 1.2.14 he called to cancel service. Service was cancelled that day. The final bill was not paid. A female caller told Customer Service on 2.21.14 that she would mail payment, but no payment was received. She called again on 4.14.14 to make a credit card payment, but the credit card was declined. Unpaid balances incur a monthly late fee of $15 plus tax. A payment of $64.79 was received on 5.29.14 which paid the balance in full. We regret that the customer is unhappy about the late fees he incurred, and encourage him to read the Terms and Condiitions of his service agreement if further clarification is required.
