Review: After paying in full ($450) and being told that we should contact them with any modifications to order, we did not receive any response after 5+ phone calls and 8+ email attempts. We were very pleased with the initial contact and were optimistic that they would assist us with planning and delivering goods for our wedding day. However, our optimism quickly changed after they failed to respond after our repeated attempts. It took us going to the store to be heard. After accidentally charging our card for an additional $350, they did refund us $700 (leaving us to eat $100). They asserted that they would not refund the other $100 we had paid as it was part of a cancellation policy. This is a policy which we never saw and no contract was signed or provided to us. Shortly after leaving the store, we were contacted and told that we could be refunded an additional $50 which was a fraction of the $100 and that we would have to come to the store to collect this. We questioned the other $50! We were never granted access to the initial person who consulted with us and who happens to be the owner. We did return to the store for the $50.Desired Settlement: As we did not sign or receive anything in print, we would like to be fully refunded the amount we paid. We are seeking to have the remaining $50 refunded to us. The party responsible for breach of contract is the company itself not us as the consumers. We did everything we could to contact and speak with this company and they failed to respond. It is only just that the company be held liable and that we receive full compensation.

Review: We personally placed an order for my daughter's 14th bday cake months ago, end of April is around the time we stopped in. At that time an order form was filled out for a pickup of August 6th. I can email a copy of the order form as I took a snapshot of it. On, Sunday July 26th we stopped in for cupcakes and also to change the pickup date from August 6th to August 9th! We went in to pick up my Daughter's cake on August 9th and they said it was still in pending because we didn't place a deposit on it!!!! Neither at our initial order nor upon stopping in once again on July 26th was any mention made of a deposit. They clearly had my cell phone and no call was ever made to me for my credit card info in order to secure the order. They offered cupcakes instead, no offer was made to pick it up later that day. They did say I could stop back in during the week for it. However as I stated on July 26th it was impossible for me to drive into the city during the week due to acquiring a new job. I did email the owner, April on Monday August 10th, again I have a copy of that too. I tried calling the owner on August 9th but only got the store as I was sitting in the lot. I requested her vm but when I called back it only rang and rang. Oh and get this one, I asked for a owner, manager, someone in charge on Sunday August 9th and the girl said nobody was there!!!Desired Settlement: In my email dated August 10th, I had requested that the owner or a manager meet me half way like in Greentree Bridgeville prior to her bday. I didn't even get a response back. As you know, to get a quality cake in such short notice is impossible. I ended up having to order a grocers cake!! My daughter had her heart set on this bakery since the year prior when we tried then to get a cake and was told it was too late. The tears that my daughter cried are unacceptable from any standpoint, especially when the fault lies entirely with the staff and Vanilla Pastry Studio. They had our order on a clipboard of "pending orders" not not one call was made to take a deposit. Again I have copies of that and my email to April.

Review: I contacted vanilla Pasrty studio an sent them a picture of a cake asking if they can make it. They said yes I said great I will call back Friday to pay for it. Instead of calling I went in an paid for it. the next day I found a better bakery , I called vanilla back an canceled my order. Let's keep in mind the cake was 450 dollars. She ([redacted]) only wanted to refund me my 400 stating that she is now charging me for the phone call of where I inquired if she can make the cake. then she started bringing up lots of unexplained charges saying that those are charges that add up to 50 dollars so she is not going to refund me my 50 dollars. we never signed any contracts , she never spoke of these charges until now. I paid , (which states on my receipt) that the cost of the cake an the cake ONLY is 450 dollars. I should have been refunded my full 450 dollars because that was the price of the cake an nothing more.Desired Settlement: I simply just want my 50 dollars refunded back to my debit card.

Review: I purchased 1/2 dozen cupcakes from this business and spent $15. I traveled 15-20 miles JUST to go to this bakery. I brought the cupcakes home to my family and we were very excited to try them! They looked beautiful. We were very disappointed to find that the cupcakes were extremely dry and the icing was overly sweet. I sent the business a [redacted] message to see if maybe someone different had made the cupcakes that day. They had very good reviews so I was confused as to why the ones I had purchased were so awful. After not receiving a response in a reasonable time, I emailed them. A week later, after still not hearing from the business, I wrote on their [redacted] page. Today (9/26/14), I checked to see if anyone had commented on my post and there was to response, so I commented again. My post was deleted. I am NOT happy with this business and they will not receive any money from me. I will tell everyone I know about the bad experience I had with them. Not only because their cupcakes were disgusting, but because the owner is obviously incompetent and can't respond to their customers.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund ($15) for the cupcakes I purchased.
