information on the customers work history as well as living arrangements, to see if he or she can qualify for our finance programs. We had then come to an arrangement as to when the vehicle would be taken, and that it inspected by him because of he was unwilling to wait for us to inspect the vehicle ourselves. Once we had it though our safety inspection the vehicle was ready and the customer stated above, had come in and was ready to pick it up. The last thing we needed were bank statements to send to Credit Acceptance Corp. Everything he had explained on paper had checked out up to that point. He had informed us on the credit app that he was the CEO of a company and was therefore self-employed. Michael was then not able to produce bank statements to prove that fact. On the credit application itself he had signed he had stated that all information was correct to his knowledge but was not able to produce the proper paperwork. He had put a $300 deposit on to the vehicle and $120 in advance for his notary fee. Being that we never made it to the sign out portion of the deal we refunded his notary fee. He had also signed a receipt just like every customer before him that all deposits were nonrefundable but some exceptions do apply. We will normally refund a customer if we are at fault. He was not able to legally produce documentation for his income making him liable in this certain situation. As for the sign that is promptly posted behind my desk, it has been there since our banking license had come into play back in October of 2015. Surveillance video has been pulled and recorded for these matters of which is also posted on our front door and windows. He is still welcome to obtain the vehicle at any time with proof of banking and where his income comes from. Our depositing policy if for us to know the consumer is serious about purchasing vehicles on our lot. We have a single car garage as an independent dealer and will only add them into the garages busy schedule after the deposit has been received.

Review: I went to try and purchase a car and I was told that they couldn't do anything unless I made a deposit and to come back in 5-8 days later to finish up with the paperwork. I felt a lil funny about it at first but they assure you that you will be approved. I brought in income verification, employment and address proof. I came back and they told me that they didn't do any work to the car yet and things would be done. They then told me if I would get the car inspected for them they would lower the down payment. I never drove the car off the lot, test drove the car nor did I sing any agreements. The car sat in the same place from day one. They they came up with a story once they got all my info and said that I was not approved and I was ok with that, all I wanted was my money he refused, then wrote a sign and posted it on the wall when I came back in that said no refunds on deposits. I know it was not there before because I was just admiring things they had on that wall and I would have saw that and asked then. So he told me to get out very aggressively and now I am out my $300.00 deposit. There were two other people there which one guy had broken out windows of cars because he didn't get his money, and a woman who has been trying for two months to get a car and they have her deposit as well.Desired Settlement: All I want is my money and a apology. I am going to the magistrate to file charges as well.
