Venio LLC doing business as Keane Reviews (3)

Review: Legal Claimant Services was contracted to close out a previously unknown stock holding of my deceased mother. They were then to distribute the proceeds of the sale to myself and two siblings who were beneficiaries of her estate. All required forms were submitted in May, and completion of their performance was stated to have been accomplished by the end of June. For two weeks I have been told by their representative that the stock has not been sold, and further, it was beyond his (the representative's) his control. The following is a paste of the message I received on 7/*/14:

[redacted] -

Yes, I agree, it has been long enough. I just received word that this should be wrapped up and the liquidation checks will be sent within the next 10 days.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

In June, 2014, I (as estate executor) was contacted by LCS about a supposed unclaimed property worth over $100,000.. I doubted the authenticity of this "asset." After multiple contacts from LCS ([redacted], [redacted]) and my own/estate lawyer's efforts to locate any "asset," in Oct.2014 I signed the LCS contract for their assistance with recovery of the "asset." LCS specified a 12 week waiting period; in Jan. 2015 I recontacted [redacted] re: progress. She then notified me the "asset" was not available for recovery thru LCS. She promised to provide me with further information, but never did. I since have discovered that the "asset" was property already in the estate, not something new, and LCS was apparently operating on unverified information from a third company ([redacted]) which had no legal right to that information. During this process, estate legal time & expense was wasted and Probate postponed twice. LCS operated on incorrect/unverified information, made promises & failed to communicate with me. If more specific details are needed, I/the estate lawyer can provide them.

Very pleased with my interaction with this company!! They found an IRA from my late husband that I did NOT know even existed. Yes, they took their percentage for locating it and procuring it for me, but considering the fact that I would not even FOUND the money without them, I'm content with the process. They were helpful, professional, and negotiable. I am a satisfied customer.
