Review: On August 4, 2013, I contacted Ventura and Santa Barbara Overhead Door to get a panel of the door replaced as it had buckled. The person took my information and promised to get back in touch with me when they could quote. Over the next 3 weeks I tried calling and e mailing the contact several times and got no response. After calling the main line, I was told the employee was no longer there. At 4 weeks, a service person went to the property to determine what panel to order. The panel was ordered and 3 weeks later the tech went to install TWO panels (as one had started weakening because it had taken so long to repair). However, it was the WRONG PANEL. The attachment bolts did not align. The tech informed me that another two panels would have to be special ordered. Through the course of the next 7 weeks I have been trying to get updates, and only told that the company that is manufacturing the door panels is still working on it. The tenants in the house have not had the use of the door in more than 3 MONTHS and the door is still not repaired, NO ONE from the office is calling me to update me on progress, and I do not know yet when it will be repaired. To their credit, the company is "discounting" the two panels and threw in a follow up service at 6 months, but at this point, it does not make up for the lost rent, loss of use of the garage and being strung along for 3 months by this company's promises. I have not been able to move to another company because of the order in house and the payment that they are demanding. This can not be classified as a customer service problem, because of all the problems we have encountered.Desired Settlement: I WANT A PHONE CALL AND PROGRESS REPORT IMMEDIATELY. I WANT A FAIR PRICE. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT I AM REIMBURED FOR THE LOST RENT I HAVE EXPERIENCED DUE TO THE LOSS OF USE DUE TO THE LACK OF ORGANIZATION, COMMUNICATION, AND EXECUTION OF THIS COMPANY. GET THE DOOR FIXED NOW!!!!!

Good Morning:

Review: We have spent thousands of dollars with this company repairing our entry gates which are specialized and solar powered. After numerous repairs and substantial costs, all of which we paid for, we were advised that one of the major components of the gates, the motor arm, had to be replaced, to which we agreed. That part was installed and has required service several times for which I also paid. When the arm was installed I found that the company had double billed me for some service calls, which I called them about, they agreed it was their mistake, and they adjusted the bills and I paid them. The gates are still not working properly and I called for service last week and an appointment was scheduled for this past Monday (6/22) at 9:00am. When the repairman did not show-up I called and I was told he was busy on another job but that he would come on Tuesday morning instead and they apologized for the no show. I stayed home for 2 days (Monday & Tuesday) waiting for the repairman to arrive. Instead of the repairman coming as promised I received a telephone message from Tim to advise me that "they were no longer going to provide me service because they had to write-off charges in the past". The only charges I know of that were ever written-off were their double charges. When I asked to speak with the owner I was told by Tim "he doesn't come there anymore". He then said I could speak to the general manager Steve Thompson, but when I agreed I was told that Steve Thompson is not there and he did not return my message.Tim said he was sorry but that the decision had been made by Steve Thompson, there is nothing he can do, find some other company to service the gates" and he hung-up.Desired Settlement: I want my gates repaired. I have never refused to pay for service and have actually overpaid but was willing to overpay because finding someone who can work on solar gates is difficult. They need to stand behind their parts and service and complete the "repairs" they made here. I have NEVER not paid this company for their work and for them to insinuate that I am some sort of credit risk or that I don't pay my bills is slanderous. I have always paid for all services from them.

Response:

It is disappointing to see this complaint posted here, as the customer was re-contacted later that same day and service was performed free of charge. It remains our position that this matter was resolved professionally and completely.

I am rejecting this response because:

I notified you the very same day that the company had satisfied its obligation and had scheduled an appointment to come for service which they did in-fact do. This complaint was not to be filed and was to have been cancelled on the same day it was filed. I have the written correspondence to prove that.
