Venture II Body & Paint Reviews (4)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI have been In contact with the owner and at this time do not want to try to find another shop Hopefully the car will be finished in a timely manner I have requested by email receipts for the monies paid so far , we have never received any receipts for payment so hopefully he will send them to us for our records We will be in contact if we do not receive our car back completed in a timely manner soon .Thank you [redacted]

Tell us why here... Here at Venture II Body & Paint we take great pride in what our customers think and feel about the work we do. This complaint came as a surprise to us, since we have been in contact with the customers. When the vehicle came in it was a simple restoration and paint. ...

After the initial tear down we found additional issues with the vehicle, both quarter panels had to have the lower 12 inches of them replaced because of extensive rust. The left fender needed the lower 7 inches replaced, the right fender needed to be completely replaced.  Also there were 5 holes ranging from 1 inch to 3 inches in the back window surround that needed replaced.  Additionally their Air box area on the fire wall had 2 large squirrel nest in them which rusted the bottom of foot section on the right side and 9in section on the left side.  These two areas have had to be fabricated because no parts were available for replacement.  We contacted the customer to inform them of the new repairs, and customer did order parts that could be ordered, as there were a few that could not be replaced. We had fabrications which prolong the original estimated time to be completed, which at the time we let the customer know. The customer stops by at least every two or three weeks to check in on their vehicle. We give updates, most recent was August 2016 with pictures of the vehicle jams being painted and the customer responded very positively. With that being said I do agree that the vehicle has been here too long.  We have been in contact with customer after complaint and understand they want the vehicle.  At the time of conversation talked the customer and she stated she did not want to take the vehicle out of the shop.  We explained we lost the battle with time with this project. So I don’t want to put out a sub-par quality to rush the job now. The vehicle has the shops direct attention and has had so for 4 months now.  We are working on completing the vehicle as quickly and efficiently as possible, but with ours and customers satisfaction.  Sincerely, [redacted]Owner

Review: I took my car to a bodyshop to have a restoration done, for my husbands birthday as a surprise. It is a 1969 [redacted],no bad damage, just a nice paint job and some fender work which he did not fix but had me order parts that I have already paid for . The day I dropped it off was Feb 17th 2015. [redacted] told me it would be 4-7 months,my son is my witness to this although now he states he did not say that. It has been 1 year and 6 months and [redacted] keeps stating it will be painted and done and each month goes by without it being done. He has promised me many dates. I have paid this man $6,000.00, $3000.00 right away and $3000.00 a short time after it was dropped off. I have not paid him the remaining amount of $1,900.00 because I do not want to give him any more money till the job is completely done, then I will give the remaining amount to him. I took it to this shop because he stated that it would be done before the quoted year time another shop quoted me. He told me it would not take the time they quoted me. He has started to do collision work on other cars and others have come and gone and mine is still in the shop. I have time and dates on my phone of when my car went in with pictures of the car which has no collision damage at all. I have given him many deadlines , he promises to have it done and it is not. Can you please help me? The car was drivable before it went in there, now it is torn apart, sanded and partially painted but not finished. You can see in the photo the car was not bad at all when it went to the shop. I just wanted a nice paint job. And fenders fixed.Desired Settlement: I want my car finished and completely done. The time promised has passed. At this point I want my car returned to me so my husband can get his birthday present promised to him over a year ago.
