(Example shows the floor plate fitting into the image of the shinesthe truck represents)Yet, the manager couldn’t even take the effortor even a second to go and look at my truckAt the end of the conversation, itwas stated that they were going to give me a call about the price of thecorrected piece at a discountAccept I have not received that call even tothis dayI have called and left voicemails without any call back and an email Inconclusion, I did nothing wrong hereExcept trusting the wrong Company to dothe JobIf the Company did what they said they did by showing me the rightmaterial we would not be having this conversation or filing this complaint [redacted] is the one who needs to take responsibilityand admit his statement is false [redacted] never took me to the back of the shop and showedme the materialI do not know why [redacted] is holding on his statements andallowing this dispute to continue on or a Company who claims they have aperfect reputation would allow a customer walk away unsatisfied as well as losinga customer foreverI want a full refundI am not accepting a new piece atdiscount price for as a Harris customer, I had to learn the hard way that theemployee lies, and the manager is not helpful at all Even aCompany like [redacted] would exchange or refund any product to please thecustomer

Large corporations such as [redacted] can afford to give customers their money back, whether the customer has a legitimate complaint or not I was in line behind a woman at [redacted] and witnessed her returning a 2-year-old blanket that had been used, washed many times, and was in terrible condition She simply said she didn't like it She had no receipt and no way of proving she'd even bought it there But [redacted] is huge, and it doesn't matter to them whether they give this woman her $back, if that was even the amount she spent in the first place.Frankly, I'm tired of going 'round and 'round about this, as I'm trying to run our company and employees at four locations I can see that the customer is trying to wear us down, and unfortunately, it's working I am the third generation of the Harris family to run this company, with my son, the fourth We do business by the standards set by my grandfather When we are wrong, we are the first to admit it When we are right, we will go to the mat for ethical reasons To show our willingness to come to the table in the spirit of compromise (which is also a key to business success), we are willing to return HALF the amount the customer paid Period No further negotiations We will mail a check to the customer at whatever address he provides If that is not satisfactory, we're sorry We know this customer will never return to our store and will say bad things about us either way That's just one of the pitfalls of doing business in this day and age Sincerely, [redacted] PresidentHarris Industrial Gases

I am rejecting this response because:Once again this business continues to deny the mistakes it has made and failed to admit their employes liedThis is not about what I may not say about this businessIn fact that is far from the truthI have done business with this company before in Auburn and it was good in the pastBut this time they are dead wrongI will not just give money away for nothingI have no product at all to show for my moneyCurrently this business has my money and the product and I have nothing in return and what they were offing as a product is not except ableI'm sure the product is long gone by nowI have submitted clear evidence that shows they were in the wrongThey continue to say what a customer wantsThey have noway of knowing what a customer wants or what I wantThis is not about wearing them downThis about doing what is right and returning my money to me in fullAs the manger in Auburn stated: If we did not show you the materiel then you will receive a full refundThis is the case,They never showed me the material, but I did show them the truck and the material I wantedThey done nothing what they said they would doIn fact the manger said it would be $150.00, not $returned to meThe full amount is due back to me and will only get bigger the more I got to do to get it backThe first thing I asked them about was about stainless steel plateThats shinnyHow did they change it to a plate with paint marks and no shine? If this business wants to keep that stand of only offering me half of the money and no productI am sure they will in enjoy the long ride to Grass Valley Courts to see me in personI'm sure that will be cheaper then paying me a refund now, So this will not end here as I will not just let someone steal my money and receive nothing in returnIt's not just me that's learning about this matter, Its all my coworkers who own trucks that will not do business with them again alsoThe Auburn location knows my truck as I pass by them everyday on the truck route loaded with logsI see Al everyday and they have never made attempt to stop me to resolve this situation at allNo one has even tried to contact me from this company to sit down and talk about this at allI would really like to ask Al why he liedBecause this company should be asking him the same questionIn my company that employee will be gone for lyingSee you in Grass ValleySo I am offing you heck of a deal $now or more laterOh yea the *** story was great.! ThanksI can,t afford to lose money either and wouldn't take some else money to get ahead

Customer came into our shop (a small, 80-year-old family-owned business that has not lasted this long by cheating or misleading customers), requesting diamond floor plate for his truck bedOur shop foreman (**) showed him a sheet of steel diamond plate (claimant misuses the terms 'stainless steel'
and 'aluminum' in his complaint, indicating he is confused by the names of the metals)He said it was perfect and requested we cut it for him and had to leaveAl wrote up the job order, and customer’s wife came in and paid for jobPiece was cut as requested (we can submit photo of cut piece but do not know how to attach it in this window)Customer later came in to pick up item** carried the cut piece to customer’s truck, setting it in place, showing customer how it fit exactly as he had requestedCustomer looked at it and said, “I wanted it to be shiny, like this (pointing to the aluminum diamond plate tool box in his truck bed).” ** said, “But that’s not what you asked for; you asked for THIS pieceIf you want another piece, I’m sure the inside sales staff will discount the new piece (which they did offer to do)Customer did not re-order correct piece, instead leaving dissatisfied, and later requesting a credit from his credit card companyWe did nothing wrong hereWe are still willing, however, to discount whatever new piece he wants to purchase by 50%, to show good will in an effort to resolve the disputeCustomer has to accept some responsibility hereWe cut steel for a livingWe do not cut from a phone order; we make customer show us in person what they wantWe have learned this the hard way over the decades, just so customers cannot later say “This is not what I wanted.’

I am rejecting this response because:I amrejecting this response based on the false accusations the company is stating. Irequested for an aluminum diamond floor plate for my truck bed not a steelplate.  I understandthat this is a small 80 year old business that has not lasted this long bycheating their customers. But this Company did cheat me this time. On the samelevel, my company is also a small family-owned transportation business. I havebeen a truck driver for 25 plus years and became an owner operator in 2011. Thenumber of years a company is in business does not matter in this situation. Thebusiness may hold up an image through the numbers of years in business but the traditionand reputation was not represented through the employee in this matter or theCompany.   ** created afalse statement stating that he took me to the back of the shop and have showedme the material in which was going to be used for the job. Al had never takenme to the back and showed me the material. If he did, I could to this day beable to walk to the back of the shop and show the material myself or to anyone withoutany guidance from the shop men. But I can’t, due to the simple fact Al nevertook me to the shop to show me any material. So I have no clue where thematerial is located in this shop. I don’t know how else to explain to thiscompany in English that “Al never showed me the material and heis lying.” This company believes the employee word over thecustomer. The company act like $259.00 is going to make them go out ofbusiness. I’d be happy to go to the shop as a test and give proof showinganyone where Al took me that day. As ** only took me from the front of the shopto my truck to the office and that was it. **, the shop man wrote up the joborder for which I never have sign my name on to approve Since weboth experience many years in the metal industry, I can say that I am aware ofthe different type of metals and is not confused. I was employed by Hopper Industrieslocated in Bakersfield, CA. One of the largest suppliers of steel and plate inthe 80s. When I walk through door I knew exactly what I wanted. (A sample ofthe material wanted is shown in example 1). This merchant has no right to saythey knew what the customer wanted and went ahead and did the job either way.Instead, Al picked out a heavy steel diamond plate under his free will for thejob. (Sample 2 shows an example of the material he used.)  My wife came in and PREPAID for the product inorder to allow the money to be taken out of the bank and was scheduled for meto pick up the product later that day. My wife absolutely did not paid for thejob and have no evidence of approving the job for she has never even see theproduct herself.  ** used aforklift in order to carry the finished piece on to the bed of my truck. I wassurprise when I saw the cut piece for this is not what I asked for.  The piece was a heavy steel diamond plate withrust and yellow paint all over it. (Sample 3 shows the actual finished product.)I was upset with this piece and all ** could say was “you can paint it” whichwas not part of my plan. ** coworker was helping him place the plate on mytruck and I showed the coworker that the plate did not fit right, and I askedhis coworker what am I to do with this as this is not what I ordered. Hiscoworker understood the situation and got ** to remove the plate from my truckand the coworker tried to assist me in making the order right. But thecoworkers was told by management to stay out of it. This management has failedon all levels of customer satisfaction.  In an earlierstatement submitted by the company to my bank, ** stated that when he placedthe cut piece on my truck bed, it fit “perfectly.” It did not fit perfectly forwhen it was placed I was unable to get to my tool box. The piece was intendedto be cut and had an opening which surrounds my toolbox. The opening did NOTfit “perfectly” for I could not open my tool box. In this statement, Al statedthat the piece fit exactly as “I requested” knowing that it did not fit “perfectly”.It did not fit the way I requested because I could not get my tool box toopen.  I left without the piece, unsatisfied. No one at this company would be satisfied if this happen to them on anyproduct.  As a resultof this problem, I had to resort in buying the right material floor plate formy truck from a different company known as Protech. (See example 4, a stainlesssteel floor plate, Example for shows the floor PERFECTLY mounted on my truck).  On a laterdate, I went and have a conversation with both ** and the manager. The managerstated that she both believed us but took ** word over the customer. Themanager on the other hand had no authority or control over the shop. When Iwalk in to discuss this matter, all she could say was “you need to talk with theshop man you are working with.” The manager did not take effort to resolve the problem.I have asked her to go and take a look at my truck and explain to her how can Iput an old rusty steel diamond floor deck on a shiny $150,000 2015 Kenworthtruck? (Example 5 shows the floor plate fitting into the image of the shinesthe truck represents). Yet, the manager couldn’t even take the effortor even a second to go and look at my truck. At the end of the conversation, itwas stated that they were going to give me a call about the price of thecorrected piece at a discount. Accept I have not received that call even tothis day. I have called and left voicemails without any call back and an email.   Inconclusion, I did nothing wrong here. Except trusting the wrong Company to dothe Job. If the Company did what they said they did by showing me the rightmaterial we would not be having this conversation or filing this complaint.  ** is the one who needs to take responsibilityand admit his statement is false. ** never took me to the back of the shop and showedme the material. I do not know why ** is holding on his false statements andallowing this dispute to continue on or a Company who claims they have aperfect reputation would allow a customer walk away unsatisfied as well as losinga customer forever. I want a full refund. I am not accepting a new piece atdiscount price for as a Harris customer, I had to learn the hard way that theemployee lies, and the manager is not helpful at all.   Even aCompany like [redacted] would exchange or refund any product to please thecustomer.

I was sold a one year contract for online advertising for my small business in May 2013. The superpages salesman, [redacted] assured me I could start with a budget of $150 monthly and even sent me confirmation emails stating that number as my limit. I had clearly explained to him the nature of my landscape design business and wanted to be sure I did not get false leads from inaccurate keywords.

Not even 1 month later, I was notified that my budget was close to being depleted for the month. I then discovered that they had my budget set at $199 and charged me that amount. I had received about 30 clicks and 1 call from my online advertising, which amounts to about $7 a click. [redacted] had told me I would pay around $2 a click. Since my callback rate was so low, I asked about my keywords. I don't know who they have doing their SEO, but it was completely inaccurate and not representative of my business! I called customer service and was put in touch with a very rude woman named [redacted], who acted like I was bothering her right from the beginning. She did not follow through with fixing the problem and I had to call repeatedly and deal with her as my "representative". She blamed my email for not receiving information from her; however I had no problem receiving emails from Superpages before. I had her send a document to my other email account and it was once again stating the wrong keywords. Since I had her on the phone, I asked her to send me a typed out statement of what the keywords I had agreed to. She sent back ANOTHER document with the wrong info and basically said she could not do anything else. It has been a constant struggle dealing with this company. Save yourself the stress and do not use Superpages advertising!
