Verona's Photography Reviews (2)

Review: We contracted with Verona's Photography ([redacted]) to take pictures of our family in June 2013. However, over four months have passed since we had our family photos taken, and we still have not received any of them from [redacted]. Even worse, she will not communicate with us about the photos. She has failed to return multiple calls, emails, and facebook posts inquiring about them. We now have no hope of receiving the photos that we paid for. Based on our negative experience with Verona's Photography, I would strongly recommend NOT working with [redacted], as you may waste a lot of time trying to get the photos that you paid for, only to never receive them. We have not received any refund from Verona's Photography/[redacted] for this breach of contract.Desired Settlement: I would like the photos of our family that we paid for.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a deal on LivingSocial for a one hour photo shoot with [redacted] and her photography business, Verona's Photography for $99. This included 12 retouched photos. My photo shoot was on June **, 2013. That day (as per [redacted]'s Web site and her email instructions) I could purchase a DVD of all the photos from that day for another $100 cash. I wanted to review the photos and pick which ones I wanted retouched so I purchased the DVD. It took several weeks to receive that DVD in the mail. When I chose my photos, [redacted] told me I could pick 12 for light retouching or 6 for heavier retouching. I chose 6 with heavier retouching. I also chose two additional photos because if you leave comments on her guestbook and Thumbtack pages, you could get addition retouched photos, so I did this as well. I sent countless emails asking about the status, only to receive either no response at all or a automatic response saying they are extremely busy during the summer season. On Nov. [redacted], I finally got a response saying I would have them no later than Dec. [redacted]. It is now Dec. **, I have sent more emails and left more comments on her guestbook, only to have them deleted. And I have yet to receive any additional communication. I saw other comments on her guestbook that were similar to my complaints, and those were deleted as well. This feels like I have been scammed and I would have liked to get what I was told I paid for. This was a terrible experience and now [redacted] is trying to hide the complaints against her on her web site, making it seem as though everyone is happy with her service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the money I paid, $99 for the deal plus the $100 I paid her that day.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Verona's Photography regarding complaint ID [redacted].

I contacted Living Social, who said the company confirmed that they were open and planned on honoring the paid value of the deal I purchased. However, I explained to them that I had not been able to contact the company and they refunded me the $99 as a credit on Livingsocial.com.

In addition, I have sent several e-mails to the company with no response. I left comments on the guestbook on her Website without a response and now the guestbook is gone completely from the Web site.

I have attached screen shots that I took that show negative comments (including mine) on various dates (12/** and 12/**), then it shows that they had been deleted (12/**). Another screen shot shows that there is no longer a guestbook available (verona's photgraphy front page). On Yelp, I have left a review and so have two other people who had similar experience, one of whom e-mailed me and told me she has yet to receive her WEDDING photos!

While I received a refund for the deal I purchased, this is still not acceptable behavior and she is not giving her clients what they pay her for. For her not to respond at all is just bad business practice and comes across as very shady.

Sincerely,
