Verve Hotel

Review: I made a reservation for Jan [redacted] 2014 with the Verve Holtel in Long Island City ny 11101. I went to the Hotel on the day of the reservation and as I tryed to check in to the Hotel I was told by the clerk on duty that my debit card was denied. and she could not give me a reason, so I left the Hotel and had to make a reservation at thr Sleep inn Hotel in Queens ny. Then on Jan **2014 the Hotel processed the fee from my debit ( the one that they denied four day ago ) I called and who I talked to gave me a e-mail address to write to and I did but no answer.Desired Settlement: would like a refund or free stay on day that I choose.

The guest never came to the hotel and the charge on his debit card reflects the no-show penalty charge for one nights room and taxes. The guest states that his credit card declined when he allegedly arrived at the hotel but that cannot be true or we would not have been able to process the charge on his debit card under "no show" during the night audit and closing batch of that particular date (Jan **). If necessary I can provide factual paperwork that shows the charges and proof that the debit card was charged on the same day and NOT a few days later (Jan **) as the guest states.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because

The business states that my card was not charged on Jan the 8th but on the **which is not true I have my bank statement that shows the date that it was charged and I did come to the hotel and I talked to a light skined Black woman who told me that my card had been denied by there system. I think this person needs to check this out a little more . I have been booking Hotel Rooms for a good number of years now from chouice privileges and I never had this problem from other Hotels this one should be ashame of hoh they do business I dont know the whole world but I do know a good deal of people and I will be sure to let everyone I know how this Hotel does business. I knew something was funny when I called the Hotel to ask for the Acounting Dept and I was given a E-Mail Adresse and not a phone number but I guess you live and learn
