Vexcon Chemicals Incorporated Reviews (1)

Review: Very long short, I bought a product Vexcon makes that sealed and give a shine to my stamped cement driveway and the product completely bubbled the entire 2+ car driveway and the company wont stand behind their product. I was give the name [redacted] who is the Director, Business Development. He came to my house, was a perfect gentleman and very kind. He said right away that I applied this sealant when the cement on my driveway temp was to hot. I explained the day I did it, it was a cool day in the 60's as well as the following 2 days and that I have purchased this #[redacted] and applied it approx. 8-10 times as well as on my Fathers cement patio at his home and that I know how to use it as well as buying a certain kind of roller...I have never had any such bubbling or yellowing in the many years of using it. I assumed [redacted] was right, it was maybe to hot but then I looked at my receipt and it is dated June 4, 2013. I applied it on June 6, 2013 when the high temp for the day was 69 and the low of 57 and the mean temp was 63. On the next day, 6-7-13 the high temp was 58 and the low was 55 and the mean temp was 57 in [redacted], MA [redacted]. That would make the temp of my driveway no where close to too hot. Now I send this info all to [redacted] to show the cement was in no way too hot. He replies with then it must be usre error. Again I explain I have done my driveway many times and I know how to use the product and was taught by the gentleman who originally did my driveway with [redacted] out of [redacted], MA. They only deal with cement and they set me up with this product that always worked fine until now. At one point [redacted] told me they revamped the product [redacted] because of many customer complaints. Well, mine went on fine until the product was revamped. Since getting no where the gentleman I dealt with at [redacted] gave me [redacted]s' bosses name at Vexcon, [redacted]. I called and tried to explain my situation with him and he was very rude from the start. **. [redacted] said he would get back to me after talking to [redacted]. That didn't happen so I waited a few more days and called **. [redacted] again. This time he was even ruder and didn't want to listen to me, it was very frustrating. I called a few days later and asked if I could send him picture of the driveway as well as a spot in my garage that was don't 2 years ago compared to the one next to it that I did with the last batch. This showed the part that was don't 2 years ago inside my garage came out perfect, like a sheet of glass vs. the one I did this year that had all bubbles like it did outside on my driveway. This was suppose to show **. [redacted] that it even happened inside the garage so the cement temp theory was out the window. He was very coy by telling me you are not I am not a scientist and your little test doesn't prove a thing". I tried to reason, I even said just give me the chemicals and I will have it done vs. having a contractor come fix this disaster. He told me to go ahead and take him to court for a lousy $180 and that they go to court all the time and they don't lose. I don't want to go to court I told him, I just want this resolved and needless to say that was the end of the conversation. [redacted] at Vexcon who again was very nice told me I would have to go buy their concrete repair chemical and an acid brush on a pole to try to scrub the driveway and that the repair liquid would desolve the bubbles and then for me to put another coat of his [redacted] on my driveway, what was left of the 5 gallon drum I just paid $151.12 for. Needless to say I cant do that since it will ruin my driveway again. I asked him just give me a replacement for what I have left in the 5 gallon drum for the original [redacted] I had bought 4 or 5 times in the past. Bottom line, all I wanted was not to be treated so nastily and rudely and to have them take the bad product back and replace it with a good drum of 1315. They need to stand behind their product and just because I am a woman vs. a big company using their product they don't care about the single user.Desired Settlement: Vexcon to give me the concrete repair, a 5 gallon drum of good sealant [redacted] and take back the bad one or hire a contractor to make my driveway right again. I am not out for blood, I just want my driveway back to normal. A stamped colored cement driveway is an expensive item that now looks horrible due to this sealant. I am not looking for gold, I only wanted to be made even but more importantly, spoken to like a human!

Be well, [redacted]
