Review: Super Storm Sandy burned my house to the ground Oct **,2012. construction began July 2014 . The contractor was given atotal of $ 200,000 thousand dollars by Aug 2014.. He provided me with receipts that show false charges 'paid to the NYC dept of Buildings' but he charged me a total of $ 31,000 tousand dollars. Fees pertaining to house construction for hurricane sandy victims have been waived, but he charged me such amount. He failed to provide me after repeatedly asking him, how he spent the initial $100,000 thousand dollars given to him Jan 2013. He told me with that money he paid the Architect, clean fire/house debris and for fencing the property. After insisting, he told me 'i had a balance of about $ 50,000 thousand dollars that would be use to purchase and install windows, doors and roof. he failed to follow specifications per work scope contract and demanded more money. He told me he had no money and did not order the window, doors and partially installed the roof. he stopped construction because, I did not want to give him more money. Two Liens have been placed on my home by the sub-contractor for alledgedly work not paid by the contractor. Liens for a total of $ 63,000 thousand dollars.Desired Settlement: he received more than enough money to cover the construction work that was done. He needs to provide proof how he spent the first $ 100,00 thousand dollars and balance left. he needs to refund me a total of $ 45,000 thousand dollars I had to pay a new contractor for repairing FAULTY FRAMING that would not pass inspection...and poorly installed roofing done by the sub-contractor, becasue, he did not supervise the sub-contractor. He needs to work with the Lumber company and the sub-contractor in removing Liens placed on my home . [redacted] kept the money and did not pay these people.
*he needs to be accountable for his actions. I was told, he did the same thing to 5 hurricane sandy victims, 4 in Staten island and 1 in Ozone park, queens
