Victor Thompson

Victor Thompson was the contractor who "built" our home at [redacted]. The certificate of occupancy was issued in 2002. We bought the home in 2006. We have had a rust problem in the grout in the floor of our tiled master bath shower since we bought the house. We finally hired a tile setter to re-grout the shower. He found the cause of the rust coming thru the grout. [redacted] finishing nails carefully laid in the bottom of the grooves between the tiles then grouted over. This is just the latest in a series of construction defects that we have had to remedy since we bought the house. Some might be explained by a sub-contractor who just did shoddy work, and of course Mr. Thompson always blames the sub-contractor. Others Mr. Thompson has admitted were due to his own ineptitude or sheer laziness, dropping a tape measure into the concrete block wall forming the basement walls and instead of fishing it out merely knocking a hole in the block with a hammer. Of course after we bought the house I had to fill in the hole to stop water intrusion. Mr. Thompson thought it was funny. There are many, many other examples.This incident however is the first time it would appear that the problem was deliberately caused, and even if cause by a disgruntled sub-contractor the contractor bears responsibility.[redacted]Desired SettlementThe cost to repair, $216.00, was minimal. This of course does nothing about the terrible construction of the shower as a whole.Mr. [redacted] should have his contractors license revoked assuming he actually has such a license and the public should be warned about this type of shoddy work.
