ease from the very start, listened to what I was interested in and went
about finding the car of my choice. But more importantly was the patience
as I made decisions about my purchase. I'm very satisfied with my
buying experience at Victorian Auto Sales.

I was sold a car that was unsafe. Brakes were gone and steering was broken, held on with one bolt. Steering was put in backwards. Pieced together.On September 10th, 2014 I punched a 2003 [redacted] Focus from salesman [redacted]. I drove the car for over an hour and the car seemed fine. I told [redacted] that I was buying the car for my 16 year old son. I was assured the car was safe and good running order. On September 14th my son informed me the breaks were acting funny as well as the steering. Told him to take the car to [redacted] to have them look at it. They found the breaks were at 20 percent and the steering was not connected and also put in backwards. I contacted Victorian Auto Sales and spoke to [redacted]. I explained to her my problem with the car. I was told to have the car towed to there sop for repairs. [redacted] could not release the car to me for liability reasons. I called [redacted] back and explained the situation to her. I was told she couldn't help. I again called [redacted] and asked to have the car moved to Victorian Auto Sales. They again said no because of liability issues. I told them to go ahead and fix all the problems with the car. I tried to contact [redacted] on the 15th and 16th of September but was told he was out of the office. I got in contact with [redacted] on the 17th of September and explained to him the problems I had with the car he sold me. I short he told me I should of called his cell phone number and talked to him about this problem. I was told by [redacted] that they had a tow truck that could of brung the car to them, [redacted] never told me this. I ask [redacted] if I could talk to the owner, [redacted]. I was told the owner does not talk to customers. I told [redacted] that I wanted to be reimbursed for my cost of the repairs and to pass the message along to [redacted]. I was informed later that the answer was no. [redacted] basically told me it was my fault because I did not call him on his cell phone when I was having a problem. I told [redacted] that he had sold me a unsafe car that could of killed my son. His answer was that he was not a mechanic and he and I both signed a paper saying the car was safe.Desired SettlementI paid $2000.00 to have all the repairs done and to make the car safe. I would like to be reimbursed the entire $2000.00 I put out in repairs.Business Response Dear Customer; At Victorian Autos Sales we make sure that ALL vehicles are safe to be sold, we perform a visual inspection of the entire vehicle to make sure that it's safe; I believe you were provided with a checklist of this inspection. We are always happy to work with customers when there is an issue, on this specific situation we were not contacted before the vehicle was taken to another shop; even though you were not given any type of warranty we would have looked into those issues for you. When we were contacted the vehicle was already at another shop and could not be moved as per the shop, we do NOT have a tow truck but sometimes we have access to a trailer; this must be approved before hand by the owner. As far as speaking to the owner we do NOT have permission to give out any of his personal information, but we are always happy to arrange a meeting day and time with him; I apologize if this was not mentioned to you either. Unfortunately I do not believe we can reimburse you for the expense at [redacted] since that is the shop you chose, we have specific shops that we use and work with us as far as pricing; this is why we always encourage customers to promptly call us if there is an issue before they contact other place this way we can make sure that we both get the best pricing.
