Review: This is in regards to Victory Fuel LLC in Terryville, CT. Our first run in with them, ordered 100 gallons of fuel only to return home to a receipt stating they only delivered approximately 20 gallons and would be out the next day with the remainder. The next day came and went and we had no oil and not even a courtesy call. When we called to find out what the deal was we got an excuse that they ran out of oil. They got all testy with us because we were upset at no phone call and no oil, yet they had our check. Finally got that straightened out. The most recent issue is I called this past Thursday to set up a delivery, giving them a second chance. I was informed they would be out at some point after 4pm and that somebody needed to be home to give them the check payment. 5:20pm rolled around so I called them to find out if they had an estimate on delivery time and got voice mail. No oil delivery and no phone call back. How is it that a business treats customers in this manner? I have held customer service positions for many years and could never fathom treating customers with such disrespect.

I would like this company to feel the heat so to speak. They have no sense of running a customer based business. At worst I want my experiences on file for others to see how they treat their customers. Cheaper prices do not necessarily mean you are saving money. Between the time wasted chasing them down, waiting on them then finding another company I would have been better off going with the more expensive rout.

Dear Ms [redacted]: As you well know sometimes the plans you make for the day can not always be completed. Regarding Mr. [redacted] the two times we have dealt with him, his request for oil came the day before the scheduled delivery. He has also requested a same day delivery. Our Company is based in Terryville, the same town Mr [redacted] live in. When we got to Mr. Garlands apartment my son only had 40 gal on board. He made the decission to give the customer the 40 gal so they would have oil for the cold night ahead. He took the check because it was left on the door as prearanged. My son is also a payed fire fighter in the City of Bristol. He was called to duty the next day and could not deliver until his shift was completed. At the completions of his shift he finished the delivery. He did not hand in the ticket to the office because the delivery was not complete. We offer the best price to customers, and we do the best we can as a Father and Son Company. We have serviced aprox 1500 customrs this season with only three ocmplaints. [redacted].com is a webesite we use. Please take the time to look at are reviews. We have received a score of 5 out of 5 for 99.9% of our customers. We will not do business with Mr. [redacted] again. As a company that deals with deliveries they should not set up next day deliveries if they can not keep up with their commitments. The first time we ordered, we called on a Monday and stated we wanted a Thursday delivery. They asked that we call on Wednesday because their prices would change. The second time I called for delivery they set the next day delivery. When we contacted them regarding getting only partial delivery they tried to turn it around like we did not have a right as to questioning where the rest of the delivery was as promised by their receipt that they left. The second time I was told I needed to be home for a delivery shortly after 4pm on a Wednesday. I never received a call and never received an oil delivery. Finally Thursday I get a call after I called and left a message with the secretary, stating delivery would be made that day after 4pm. It was finally delivered at approximately 845pm that night. My response is direct from the source, their response is from a second person, one who was not involved on the phone or with deliveries. We all know what happens when stories are passed from person to person....they lose validity. Plain and simple they are trying to make themselves look good like they could do no wrong. A convenience call when issues arise is not to much to expect out of a company servicing customers. Plus, I respect firemen, but if that interferes with a business that you run then maybe you should give one of them up or maybe the father or secretary should pick the phone up and cover their bases.
