Review: Video Tape It was hired by Tricks Dance Studio to tape a dance recital. They collected checks, cashed them and have not sent out the DVD's.

I ordered a video of my daughters' dance recital which was on June 28th at 7pm. The DVDs were to be mailed directly to our homes around August 21st. I paid by check and my check was cashed, but no DVD showed up. Finally in Mid-October I called and spoke with Brian McCann and he took all my information. He apologized and said he would look into it and get me my DVD. I have called about 8 times now, and spoken with Brian 2/3 of those times. Each time he says he is sorry and will get it out right away. I have still heard nothing and my calls are not being returned and I have not received a refund for the DVD I did not receive. I really just want my DVD of the special moment of my daughters'. I have contacted the dance studio who has tried contacting him as well...and at this point I was told a lot of parents have not gotten their DVD's either.Desired Settlement: I really just want my video and I am not sure why he can't get them out. Did he even record the recital? I want to know what is going on. this is a memory we can't get back...and he has taken that from us...if he does not get us these video's. If he is not going to make the video's and send them out, then I want a refund.

Response:

The video has been sent to the customer. If it hasn't been received yet, it could be lost in the mail. I will, in an assumption that it is lost, send a replacement DVD.

Review: Purchased product in July 2013, but never received it. Phone calls to business ignored.

I sent check# [redacted] in the amount of $35.00 on 7/6/13 for the purchase of my daughter's summer recital performance video. It was signed and cashed by [redacted], the owner, on 7/10/13. The video was supposed to be delivered around 8/21/13, per their order form. I never received it. I called the owner, [redacted], in September, at which time he tried to tell me that he must have sent it to the wrong address and that he would research and call me back that night. I never heard from him again. I called several times after this only to get the voice mail. I left messages each time, which went unreturned. Since this time I have learned that there are many more parents that are in the same position and being told the same story about how he sent it out and must have sent it to the wrong address. We feel completely ripped off because he took all of our money, but we have yet to receive our videos or any sort of explanation. I would still like to receive the video, but at the very least, I want a full refund of the $35.00 that he took from me.Desired Settlement: I would still like the video I ordered, but if not available, I would like a full refund of the $35.00 I paid.

Response:

I received an email from [redacted] (the owner) on 12/1/13, stating the following: "We understand that you did not receive your Summer Recital DVD? It was mailed to [redacted] Court, [redacted], [redacted]. Is that correct?" I responded to Mr. [redacted] confirming that I did not receive the DVD, as he is well aware of. The address is not correct, it's [redacted]. I also checked my original order slip and the address was clearly written and there is no mistaking the 2 for a 3. This is just another attempt by Mr. [redacted] to avoid answering why I haven't received the DVD. I sent my response to him the same day and since then have not heard back from him, nor received the DVD.

We apologize for the length of time it has taken, but we do have very large orders we are working through and we have had some downtime due to a family members illness. We are working steadily to process these orders, including yours, and hope to have them out soon.As of DEC. 2, 2014 No DVDs nor our personal very valuable family videos have been delivered. After unanswered calls we have again tried to contact vendor via email at [redacted],Another month has passed since you assured us that our Buehler family tapes were secure and would be copied. You have had them since Aug. 15; over 3 and 1/2 months since we paid thru [redacted] your $136.90 invoices for copying and return. You replied Oct. 26 "hope to have them out soon".Christmas is coming up. We hoped to have some of those for Christmas presents. We need them by then.FOUR months should be adequate time to do what you advertise on [redacted], or wonder if Video Tape It & DVD is a legitimate business. Please confirm.Thank you,[redacted]Upon seeing the other Revdex.com complaints we are extremely worried about the safety of the only video record we have of our children growing up. Is [redacted] of Video Tape It & DVD a ripoff operation? If he operates a responsible business he will deliver.Desired Settlement: Deliver my DVDs copies and Family Tapes without further delay. These are extremely valuable family video albums. For [redacted] of Video Tape It & DVD ###-###-#### to fail to complete the services he was paid for or to fail to safeguard our tapes and insure their return to us as promised, will seriously hurt my family. I hope the Revdex.com can help resolve this problem.

Dear [redacted] and Revdex.com of Northeast California,I don't know if I need to log in to revise my complaint #[redacted]. Note as per below I consider the matter resolved. Review: Non-delivery of paid for DVD. Have called vendor repeatedly with no call back. If I happen to catch him he always promises to "re-send" the dvd.

Vendor makes DVD of Tricks Dance Company shows. I paid for a copy of the dvd on July 13, 2013 with a promise date of August 21. In the past this vendor has made product just fine. In mid-October I realized that I did not get the dvd, my check for $35.00 had been cashed already so starting on October 19th I called the vendor, [redacted]. In the last three months I have called him 15 plus times (10/19, 10/27, 10/28, 11/5, 11/7, 11/8, 11/10, 11/13, 11/19, 11/30, 12/2, 12/6, 12/9, 12/17, 12/27) . He has NEVER returned a call. I have spoken with him three times (because I called and he picked up his phone) and each time he says he mailed the dvd. I have never ever received anything from him. Once he said he had the wrong address and would resend. Bogus! I would wait a week giving him time to actually send and nothing, no product. One of the few times we spoke I asked him point-blank what the problem was and if he could not deliver the dvd to just say so. He did not say anything. The last time we spoke he was very rude. Since then he never picks up the phone. Starting 11/30/13 I requested a refund, no longing asking for the dvd. I have complained to the dance studio owners and have learned that other families have not received their dvds either. They have had their checks cashed. That to me is stealing. I want my money back.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my money--$35.00. I want it immediately, I have waited long enough. I do not want a check that could bounce. I do not want to deal with this unprofessional person any longer but I do want my money back.

Review: [redacted] videoed my dance studios summer recital July 12th, 2014. He not only cashed my check for my order of the studios shows, but he also cashed all of my dance studio parents checks and has yet to deliver the DVD's as promised by August 2014. I have on numerous occasions emailed and called both his cell and home number without a response. I also know that several of my dance studio parents have done the same with no response as well. This is very disappointing as he has walked away with upwards of a $1000 worth of DVD orders, if not more!Desired Settlement: I would either like the DVD's to be delivered ASAP or refunds issued for not only myself but all my dance studio parents who purchased a recital DVD by November 15th 2014.
