On February [redacted] 2015, [redacted] brought us her 2001 Nissan Maxima to address what she felt was a rough ride and unusual noises coming from her front end. Upon initial examination we determined the...

vehicle needed Front Brake Pads, Front Brake Rotors, Front Brake Calipers, and the two Front Axle Assemblies. We spoke with [redacted] and her mother and sold the job as described. Upon repair we discovered that the two front Wheel Bearings were worn, the right side being a bit worse than the left. We explained to the customer and her mother what the condition of the front Wheel Bearings were and attempted to sell them both front Wheel Bearings. Upset about the additional costs the mother instructed us to only change the side that was most in need of changing. Upon their request we only changed the right side Wheel Bearing as listed on [redacted]'s itemized invoice but customer was advised to change Left Side Front Wheel Bearing in near future. On April [redacted], [redacted] returned to us with the complaint of a loud grinding noise coming from the front end. Upon examination we determined that the Left Side Front Wheel Bearing had deteriorated completely, subsequently causing damage to the Left Side Axle Ring and Left Side Front Rotor. We explained to [redacted] that she would need to replace her Left Side Front Wheel Bearing in addition to the Left Side Front Rotor. The warranty on the Rotor can not be honored because the cause of damage was not a defective or improperly installed Rotor but rather the failure of the Left Side Front Wheel Bearing. All in all [redacted] was charged for the Left Side Wheel Bearing (Parts and Labor) and the Rotor (Part only).

Review: I had auto work done to my vehicle which involved the entire front end. (Breaks, axels, calipers, bearings, routers) . I insisted on buying my own parts and bring them back for repairs . The mechanic assured me that if I did that the work on my vehicle would not be under a warrently because the did not provide the parts. A month and a half later I hear rubbing noise in the car . The mechanic said that the bearing on my car as well as the roter and axel ring on my car is now bad . I ask him are they going to replace the parts. And he told me no ! Because the bearing that went bad wasn't the one they changed . So because of that they wouldn't replace the parts that they did change. And wanted to charge me. 350$!for a hub assembly and roter. not to mention that they guy inspected my car and told me he couldn't change certain parts in my vehicle using old parts . To my knowledge everything on the vehicle was change EXECPT this one hub bearing that made the new roter and axel bad . This is not fair !!! Because even when I told him I'll pay for the bearing that he didn't change . He still didn't agree to replace the parts that HE changedDesired Settlement: I just want the warrenty on the part that he did change . It's hard to keep paying auto shops for cheap expensive work
