Dear
We strive for customer satisfaction and pride ourselves with honesty in our work and expect honesty from our customers. Our outstanding record reflects this. It is our business to diagnose and repair vehicles and we expect both us and the customer to abide by the agreement to pay for honest and correct diagnosis ofwork. As the copy of Mr. [redacted]'s invoice from us states (that we sent to you) a correct diagnosis of a bad wiper switch assembly. Mr. [redacted] having the switch replaced at Brake Masters is his
business, we were only providing a diagnosis and Brake Masters replacing it just confirms the diagnosis was correct. I don't understand how Mr. [redacted] or Brake Masters can say the diagnosis was wrong when they replaced the
very part we diagnosed as broken and Mr. [redacted]'s argument that the wires of the switch were damaged also doesn't make sense, because they are part of the broken switch which is not repairable, so the whole switch assembly had to be replaced. The only way to repair the vehicle was to replace the wiper switch, which is what we correctly diagnosed. Mr. [redacted] choosing to have the work done at another place was his choice. I don't know what else to say, it is in black and white. The part we diagnosed as defective was replaced by Brake Masters and it fixed the problem. If Mr. [redacted] is unhappy with what he paid Brake Masters, he should deal with them. We appreciate Mr. [redacted]'s business, but this is between him and Brake Masters. We are willing to give back Mr. [redacted]'s $57 dollars and only the $57 dollars that he paid for the diagnosis just to resolve this matter. Sincerely,

Dear
Customer (Mr. [redacted]) brought his vehicle (1994 Chevrolet Carrara) in on 12/06/13 for a diagnosis of why the windshield wiper washer didn't have power to it when using the wiper switch. Customer (Mr. [redacted]) was...

informed by the front office that the teclmician was very busy and that he would get to his vehicle as soon as possible. The customer agreed to wait and was also informed that the diagnosis usually takes an hour or less
when we actually start on the vehicle. Customer asked to speak to the teclmician, the customer explained to the technician again the problem with the vehicle and that he was referred by another repair facility (Brake Masters) that had looked at his vehicle. Customer agreed to wait, technician diagnosed the problem with his vehicle as a bad wiper switch and also that the switch was broken. Customer was told that it would take a few hours to get the part and then a couple hours to replace, the customer stated that he didn't have time that day, the customer also stated that he wanted to check back with the repair facility that referred him to us and that he would decide what he wanted to do and would let us know if he wanted to have the repair done at a different time. Customer then returned to us on 12/09/13 stating that he wanted his money back because we had misdiagnosed the problem with his wipers and that he had it repaired. The customer was holding the bad wiper switch in his hand stating that this was what was actually the
problem. The technician explained to the customer that the switch he was holding was the same part we had diagnosed as bad. The technician pointed it out on the very invoice the customer received from us (see attached invoice). The customer would not listen, and
then the customer explained that the wires from the switch were also damaged (the wires off the switch are part of fhe switch). The technician explained to the customer that the wires are part of the switch, the whole thing was to be replaced as a unit and that the part he was holding in his hand was the same part we were going to replace and its all on the invoice the customer received from us. We stand behind our diagnosis, which was correct and verified as correct by the other facility that the customer had replace it. We can't be held responsible if the customer decided to have the repair done by someone else at a higher cost then what we quoted him. We charged him for a correct diagnosis that he agreed to and paid for on 12/06/13.
Sincerely,

Because the whole situation was incorrect in his stating and still would like a refund as explained in the first complaint of wrong diagnosis and have Brakemasters Managers as a backup for a refund and misdiagnosis to prove the insufficient work/diagnosis of said business.  I await with haste .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
