Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2016/03/23) */
We believe that Mrs. [redacted]'s vehicle had an issue with oil consumption given that it was out oil after [redacted] miles and 3 months. If the oil would have been checked at every fuel fill up as recommended in the owners manual the engine failure...

could have been avoided. Mrs. [redacted] did not bring her vehicle to Schepel for regularly scheduled maintenance so Schepel had no way to track how much oil her vehicle used between oil changes, and would not have been able to discover an oil consumption issue. If something would have been left loose from the timing chain repair or oil left out of the vehicle it would not have been able to be driven [redacted] miles for 3 months.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2016/03/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I never had any issues with oil consumption, every time I had the oil changed when my vehicle required it the oil level was fine. Schepel did not give a satisfactory answer and why didn't the sensor warn me that the oil level was low-I still believe the sensor was disabled at the Schepel-I am not saying there was no oil in the engine, but it is possible not enough oil was put in my vehicle when the timing chain was replaced-as I stated before had the place I take my vehicle informed me that my vehicle was consuming oil I would have brought it in to a Cadillac dealer to have it checked since my vehicle was under warranty, and if it had a consumption issue the Schepe mechanic should have been able to discover it when the engine oil was drained at the time the timing chain was replaced-Schepel does a diagnosis in every vehicle and informs customers of issues with their vehicle, they recommended new brake pads and other repairs, how convenient that they are not able to discover oil consumption. I am not satisfied with their answer-I would like a satisfactory settlement on this issue-again I would like to know why the sensor did not warn me of low engine-someone must have disabled it-and again I am asking that they look into a crooked mechanic that is causing repair issues with vehicles under warranty to bring in business to the dealer-they are putting people's lives at risk-had my vehicle stopped on the expressway this would be a criminal investigation had I or any one had been injured.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2016/03/29) */
Replace the timing chains would not cause oil consumption. Worn piston rings or worn valve guides could cause oil consumption. The SRX engine does not have a low oil level sensor. 6qts of oil was charged out on the repair order for the timing chains. If oil was not added or not enough oil was added the vehicle would not have made it [redacted] + miles. The special policy that replaced the timing chains would not have covered oil consumption because they are not related issues. The only way to diagnose an oil consumption issue would have been to pull the cylinder heads off and the pistons out of the block. Not knowing the maintenance history of this vehicle, schepel would not have had anyway of knowing there was an issue. Inspecting brake doesn't require anything to be taken apart to inspect the bad life. It is the customer responsibility to check the oil level at every fill up as stated in the owners manual. Major engine damage could have been avoided if the level had been checked.

In reviewing Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, Schepel Buick GMC is sorry that he is not satisfied with his Sierra Denali. General Motors...

agreed to replace the leather upholstery on his vehicle, even though there wasn't any significant defect. That replacement was done at another GM dealer near Mr.[redacted]'s home. Mr. [redacted] is still unhappy with the upholstery, as he indicated in his complaint. Mr. [redacted] contacted me personally and asked about trading his vehicle for a more expensive Yukon Denali XL. He indicated that the Yukon Denali was outside of his budget. He contacted me a week later regarding the purchase of a similar vehicle to the vehicle he currently owns. We agreed on a price to trade his vehicle for a newer model year. When we submitted the buyers order to the lien holder, GM Financial, they approved the new loan, but said the APR on the new loan would be [redacted] which is a higher rate than what Mr. [redacted] is currently paying. Schepel Buick GMC is an agent for GM Financial, but does not determine the rate on the installment loan. The lender determines the APR. If Mr. [redacted] can secure a lower vehicle loan rate though another lender we would welcome that, and be happy to work with his lender.
Regarding Mr. [redacted] resolution recommendation that the dealer purchase his truck back. Schepel Buick GMC would be willing to purchase the vehicle back, pending inspection, at the [redacted] amount that he mentioned in his complaint. Schepel Buick GMC's offer to purchase Mr. [redacted]'s Sierra Denali for [redacted] will expire on March 1st, 2017.

Yes. Mr. [redacted] was charged 11.29 for the steak sandwich he ordered on 2/21. It was a mistake on the part of my Outbacker. The Outbacker rang up a FULL steak sandwich, instead of the COMBO steak sandwich for $8.99, which is only half a sandwich. I will be more than happy to refund his $12.08 as I...

would hate for him to pay more than what he originally thought. As I am no longer able to access any credit card numbers, we will need to arrange some way to get his full credit card number and expiration date. I am sorry that he is having to wait so long to get a refund. If he will in the future call the restaurant we will be more than happy to fix any mistakes we might have made. Mary [redacted]Managing PartnerSalisbury Outback Steakhouse704-637-1980

This guest has harrassed our servers at this location.  He expects them to sit down with him.  He flirts with them and asks them out.  I am the operation's director.  The servers have reported to me that they are not comfortable with him.  He has asked for their phone...

numbers.  He introduced one of them to his mother as his future wife.  The manager has politely asked him to stop this behavior in order for him to continue to visit us. This is a very unfair complaint.  This guest should not even be allowed back in the restaurant.

Thay do nor tell parents of little children that thay have registured sex offenders living here. When asked thay say no.Harassment on me and my girl friend because we are a lesbian coupl. The owner just walkes into rooms without knocking and for no reason. He has hookers comming and going. Just really want the place checked into. For safety of the kids and should not discriminate because of sexual oragin. Looks at people and then decides how much to charge that person.

Review: My 2 children and I stayed 1 evening in the Travel Inn (aka The Village Inn) on August 1, 2015. The condition of the room, service from the office, and safety issues are important concerns about this business. The following list explains the dire conditions of our room

1. Missing panel under the sink with rusty nails sticking out.

2. Light above the sink did not work.

3. No phone in the room to contact lobby in emergency or need.

4. No wash cloths given and when extra towels requested, they were never delivered.

5. No bath mat nor hangers.

6. Hole in bathroom wall near base of door.

7. Visible dirt and grime in bathroom.

8. Hair dryer wall mount loose and almost detached.

9. No ice machine nor soda machine on premises.

10. Poor color on TV that couldn't be fixed.

In addition to the poor conditions and service, I had security and safety concerns as well. Our door could easily be opened with a push if not closed tightly. During our stay, we had knocking on our door at midnight, 3a.m., and 4a.m. Arguments, yelling, and pounding occurred during the knocking at midnight and 4a.m. Since we had no phone in our room, we did not have quick access to the lobby to report these occurrences. Several attempts by strangers to get into our room occurred during the knocking at midnight and 4a.m. The air conditioner shut down at 4a.m.and there were several people on the premises speaking loudly and using vulgar language which my children and I could clearly hear. Where was security throughout the night? My children and I were frightened and didn't get much sleep. For $175 per night, I expect to feel SAFE and CLEAN in a motel room! I am concerned for future residents. Security, cleanliness, and service need improvement and attention immediately.Desired Settlement: I would like an adjustment to my room charge since all of these problems occurred during our stay but I also would like a guarantee that security, cleanliness, and service will be improved for future vacationers. I am truly worried for others who choose this motel!
