Review: I contacted the hotel to make a reservation for a client of mine and they quoted me one price and charged me something completely different. They are a scam hotel. The owner that had originally spoken to me would not even take my calls.Desired Settlement: I have filed with my credit card company a dispute which I will win but I need the public to beware. These people are a fraud.

I'm responding to the above complaint in the hope to clarify what transpired with this reservation.

A [redacted] made a reservation for his client [redacted] for suite and an adjoining room for 2 adults and 4 children. There were many phone calls back and foith and trying to decide which accommodation would be best for his client. We recommended a few options with different rates.

Then [redacted]'s partner, [redacted] called and said that his clients were VIP's and wanted the best that we had. We recommended a suite @ $595 and an adjoining room for $450. He called back several times to make sure we were giving his clients the best.

I also had a weird conversation with [redacted] who claimed his business partner was [redacted] and how much they loved our Hotel. I told him that my Hotel was on the market for sale and that it would be a great place for a "Lifestyle Hotel" He thought it was a great idea too and felt that [redacted] would love that idea too. He even offered to take me out to lunch! I doubt there was any merit to his story All of this conversation was over at least a 3 hour period back and forth. After finalizing the reservation, we sent the confirmation.

Then [redacted] called and reserved a room for himself and his wife. However when we tried to confirm his reservation, his credit card declined. We left a message with him and the next day he called to say that he wanted to keep his reservation, not to release it, he'd get us another credit card.

He called back again and started to threaten us, saying we were liars, quoting one rate and then changing it. We tried to explain that when his partner called back and explained his clients were VIP's and wanted the best accommodations for them, that this was what we recommended to [redacted] and he said "Yes, yes, as long as it's the best" He would not listen and then threatened to sue us. We told him that we would not take his abuse and we were no longer comfortable with the reservation and we were cancelling the reservation and would refund the deposit in full.

A few minutes later, his partner [redacted] called back to say "Please keep the reservation, it's for a VIP client. Don't listen to [redacted]. I want the best accommodation for them. Keep everything as is.

Then we had a call from their client [redacted] who asked if his accommodation could be for 4 adults and 4 children and asked about charges they needed to pay. Of course we told him "NO" that it was for 2 adults and 4 children max.

We decided to let [redacted] know about the conversation we had with his client and we sent him an e-mail (see copy enclosed)

As you will see from this correspondence, he agreed with us and told us to cancel the reservation. We refunded the deposit in full.

After 40 year being the Owner Manager, this was the most bazaar reservation we ever received. Now he's complaining to the Revdex.com! I'm available to speak to you if you would like to call me and discuss further.
