Review: I signed a contract with VIP Entertainment (Contact: [redacted]) on March 13th, 2014. This contract was to provide a photo booth for my November 11, 2014 wedding. This contract called for a $200 security deposit. Without my knowledge, VIP Entertainment charged my credit card $400. After months of attempted contact and numerous attempts at trying to obtain the required insurance information we obtained another vendor two weeks prior to the wedding. It was at this point that I realized that I was overcharged for the security deposit. I made the vendor aware of this via email and via email he recognized that he was in the wrong and told me I would get my deposit back. Since then, he has not been reachable via phone or email. It has now come to this. This vendor has stolen $200 from me and owes me another $200 for the security deposit because due to his inability to complete the work described in the contract. I have all the backup I need to prove this via phone call records and emails.Desired Settlement: Full $400 Refund

Review: Re: VIP Entertainment

We hired [redacted] and VIP Entertainment to provide green screen novelty photo services for our son's [redacted] party on June 22, 2013, per the attached contract. All services were to be provided onsite, and a CD of all photos taken was to be sent to us within two weeks (7/6). We have paid $1300 in full.

This was a return hire, as the company had provided similar services for a prior family event. Unlike the prior event, there seemed to be continuous problems at the June 22 event. The company was late setting up, they did not have the proper equipment to print some special photos, and the candy selection that we had asked for was not there.

During the party, there seemed to be additional inconsistencies between what we recall having been provided at the June 22 event and the previous event, and afterwards, we checked the contract. These inconsistencies were indeed fairly substantial:

-"Frames – 4 by 6 Lucite, cardboard, mousepads, photo clips, and filmstrip"

we saw no mouse pads, photo clips or filmstrips; all the guests seemed to get the less extravagant plastic or paper frames

-"Magazine Covers and Movie Posters 8 by 10 put in protective sleeve"

no 8x10s were printed, no magazine covers or movie posters were offered; these had been immensely popular at the prior party.

-"Four hours of actual photo booth time"

[redacted] arrived well after the party was underway and his staff arrived even later, resulting in less than "four hours of actual photo booth time."

On 6/26, we wrote to [redacted] to ask him what had gone wrong. He wrote back within minutes, and to our surprise, he denied any issues at the party at all, ending on a positive note with the promise "I will send your CD this week."

Thinking he must have had the wrong party in mind, we sent him a note with more details. He ignored us and did not respond.

Nor in the coming days did he send us the CD with the precious photos of our event,Desired Settlement: Nor in the coming days did he send us the CD with the precious photos of our event, which he had promised several times would be sent the prior week. We wrote to him again on 7/9, requesting our CD and a response to our issues.

Again, he did not respond.

Then, on 7/18, nearly two weeks after the contract called for, we received a CD, but it was incomplete and still missing the photos they took but did not have the proper equipment to print out at the event. THESE ARE SPECIAL PHOTOS THAT WE HAVE ASKED FOR AND HAVE BEEN PROMISED SEVERAL TIMES.

We wrote to him again on 7/22, asking for these photos. Again, he ignored us and did not respond.

Earlier in the month, we told [redacted] that we felt we were entitled to a one hour refund ($325) due to his breaches of the contract. Now that he has continued to breach the contract, ignore our requests and cause us significant further frustration, we believe that we are entitled to two hour refund ($650), along with the immediate release of the phot

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

Review: This business said that they would send me a copy of my pictures from my photo booth on November 1st, 2014. I contacted this email address, and [redacted] said that he already sent the pictures to the address I wrote down for who ran our photo booth at our wedding, but that he would send it again, requesting for my address again. I sent him my parents address just in case ours didn't work for some reason. We have not received a copy of our pictures at either location and I have since sent multiple voicemail messages and emails to this same person for the last 3-4 months without hearing anything in return. He has not contacted me back with any response, which makes no sense. In my last message, I asked for either a copy of my pictures or a refund of our money since we did not receive them.Desired Settlement: I would like my photos or a refund of the money that we paid to have the photo booth at our wedding in a total of $745 + $200 downpayment to have the photo booth at our wedding.

Review: On October 24, 2013 I hired this company for a 50th anniversary party for Saturday May 17, 2014 renting a photobooth and secured this rental with a check in the amount of $200.00. Beginning on March 16, 2014 I tried to call the company to ask a few questions regarding the photos and I left a message. After a few days again I called and got no answer and again left a message. I called this company everyday at all hours and never got someone to answer the phone. This company was not returning my phone calls so on April 3, 2014 I wrote an email telling them that I was cancelling our contract, to send my deposit to my listed address and that they could call me. After two weeks, and no contact from this company I sent them a letter by fedex which was left at the door. The letter stated that I was cancelling our contract. This is a company I hired in good faith, and I am left with disbelief that there are companies out there who market themselves as a great company service provider but can't return a call or email.Desired Settlement: Refund the check in the amount of $200.00 .

Review: I hired [redacted] (ownder and operator) of VIP Entertainment (www.vipphotofavors.com)for my students Jr./Sr. Prom. The following was listed on our contract:Start time 7pmPhotobooth Elegant White Entourage Photo BoothDelivery, set up and breakdownOn site attendent to help all guestUnlimited double 2 by 6 photo stripsProfessional designed logoFlash drive of all full resolution pictures and final layoutsProps (hats, glasses, shakers, beads, Hawaiian leis, masks)Led RoofCustom Slideshow on external screen. We were not given the service we agreed on but were expected to pay full price. As stated in contract, he was to be set up at 7pm and he was not. We were quoted on a 10 person photobooth and he used one that could fit 3 max (claimed that the larger both was broken). The photo themselves were not great quality. The personalization we requested was not used on the photo strips. We requested the date be written out. He used an abbreviation and it was off center. He did not provide any props as stated in contract. He has yet to provide the flash drive with pictures. At the end of the night I approached him to discuss the contract and he became very defensive and used profanity. I am glad I waited until the end of the night to address the issue so my students did not have to witness his behavior. The vendor was given an ample size space to put up his booth that measured approximately 10ft by 13ft (he claimed it was the size of a closet and was the reason he could not fit props that we were quoted for). My students complained about the picture quality and the time it took the pictures to come out. Most of the night the line was so long that it stretched across the dance floor. Bottom line, a contract is an agreement between the vendor and buyer. He appears to think contracts mean nothing and that I should owe the remaining balance even though he did not produce/perform as agreed. Contracts are designed to protect the buyer.Desired Settlement: I would like the vendor to give us a partial refund. This money was raised by my Senior Students. The fact that he wants to keep the entire amount is appalling. To me, I see it as stealing from my students who worked hard to raise the money. We were quoted $595 for the package listed above (as listed on our contract). What we received was much less and should be reflected in the remaining balance. I would also like the Revdex.com keep my review posted to protect other buyers.
