Dear [redacted] ***: I have reviewed MsWells' complaint and researched my staff efforts in this matter [redacted] closed her accounts with us on February 10th, prior to my receiving notice of the complaint from the Revdex.com While I am unable to resolve [redacted] specific circumstances we have taken steps to offer a prepaid card which would give our customer an option to access their cash while waiting for a replacement/new cardWe have also notified our card service vendor that their services are unacceptable, and we are reviewing other means and other card vendors that will provide the service in an acceptable timeframe Thank you for bringing this to my attentionI understand how important it is in these days and times to have a debit/credit cardI apologize for the inconvenience caused [redacted] *** In the future I would appreciate your directing all complaints or issues regarding Virginia Commonwealth Bank to my personal attention, regardless of which branch the complaint references

I did not receive an offer but some of the information provided to you from the bank president was not true and I wanted to address it.
 
While I had intended to close all my accounts - I still have a few hundred dollars in a checking account at this time so the statement that all my accounts were closed on 2/10 is incorrect.
 
I was never offered a prepaid card.  This is the first that I have ever heard about it.  Whenever I discussed the lack of atm/debit/credit card with the bank I was told that their credit card company was backed up and there was nothing they could do.

Review: I had my credit card number stolen and the bank cancelled my debit/credit/atm card on January 16, 2014. They didn't call me to tell me this - the just deactivated it. I had to physically go into the bank to sign three pieces of paper. They told me it would take two weeks to get my card. After two weeks passed I called again and was told because a holiday had occurred - expect an additional week delay. According to the bank they ordered my card the Friday before the holiday so I don't know how a holiday causes a delay here, but I really don't understand how a one day holiday causes a week delay either. Now three weeks have passed and I still don't have my card. There is no bank location that is open on Saturday. My son's trombone rental was on automatic bill pay with the bank card and when I called them to tell them the bank had cancelled the card and I still didn't have a new one - after 2 wks - they acted like I was trying to get out of paying the bill. A few years ago this happened and I waited three weeks and it never arrived and then they told me they forgot to order it. I was out of town on mandatory work-related training for 9 weeks and was without the bank card or a way to get any money during that time. I'm planning to close all my accounts with this bank on Monday, but I would like people to know "The Small Bank that's Big on Service" doesn't care about its customers.Desired Settlement: I'd like the bank to have to supply customers with cards more timely. I want other people to know about this problem so when they're shopping for a bank they consider how ridiculously inconvenient it is to deal with any sort of bank card fraud with this bank.
