Good Morning, We have been working with *** *** since February of get this matter resolveAttached are copies of the invoices of the shed Mr*** purchased 12/17/and delivered on 1/19/from us as well as the invoice for the gravel, which needed to be delivered and laid
prior to receipt of the shed, delivered 1/6/and invoiced 2/20/17, which is the invoice in question. This invoice was initially mailed to Mr*** 2/27/and again 3/28/as well as being emailed to himWe also attempted to get his resolved in April. There was not any response from him indicating there was any issue, until May 23, As explained in the emails sent, since the gravel was ordered by him and the invoice was in his name, the payments received were applied to the next item on his account as there was not any indication on the payment as to how to apply the funds. Once we were made aware the invoice was to be billed to another individual, we were able to credit Mr*** account and properly bill the invoice and properly apply his payments. However we made every effort to get this addressed prior to the issue escalating to this level. We do not want for our customers to be frustratedAs you can see in the last email, Mr*** is satisfied that the matter has been resolved as we too are glad we have resolved this matterRodney H***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to meI will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolvedIf the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: ***.I do have to advise that MrH*** was not truthful! I have emails from the very beginning that I would be paying the build of with large paymentsNothing was discussed with me with regards to applying my funds elsewhereWhen I emailed on several occasions asking for my Paid Off Receipt I was told NOT UNTIL the gravel was paid for and was being held hostage on my contract. Once I receive my Paid in Full Receipt I'll consider this closed Thank you so much for assisting me!
Regards,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. It does not appear to me that any offer was made in that communication. However more details were provided, which did clarify the issue, but did not resolve it. I'm attaching my response with more information.
Thank you for your help in resolving this,
To all concerned, First I must say I see now that I had made
a mistake while reading the invoice #[redacted]. The hand written invoice looked at
first glance like it concerned only the AC unit. Rodney, my apologies, the $25
restocking charge looks reasonable and I’m willing to pay it. Secondly let’s
deal with the issue of insulation. Here are the facts: • It is true that I had
requested the floor be insulated, and I made it clear that I intended to use
the shed as a year-round office. • Despite many attempts to contact Rodney for
confirmation on the insulation request (as illustrated by his own evidence) I
never received any information on whether the insulation will be installed,
what type of insulation it would be, or any extra cost of installing it. • In
fact, there was no forthcoming communication from Rodney, between the time of
making the initial order and the day it was delivered. Despite many messages
being left through various channels. • The shed was delivered with a layer of
plastic bubble-wrap barrier installed directly underneath the plywood floor.
This material is about a 1/4 inch thick. The effective RValue of this
installation is less than R-1, which is not much more than plywood alone. •
Bubble wrap foil is often used as a barrier around HVAC duct work, in order to
prevent condensation. It is also a very effective moisture barrier and I was
not surprised to see it at the bottom of a newly manufactured shed. • Bubble
wrap foil can add to the total insulation value when used with actual
insulating materials and installed with a consistent, sealed air pocket between
it and another surface. This wasn’t the case in this installation. • This
material is also quite controversial, because it is often misrepresented as
‘insulation’ with vaguely inflated R-Value claims. [redacted] • Upon delivery I determined that the insulation was not
installed, since 95% of the floor cavity is empty, and the plastic material is
not an effective insulator. The bubble wrap foil cannot be called insulation
and charged at a premium even when compared to the cost of actual fibre-glass
insulation commonly used in buildings. The current building code for Virginia
calls for a minimum of R-13 in the walls and even more, R-19 in the floor. Even
a light installation of just an inch of foam, or 2” batt would be more than
five times that of the provided material. With the above in mind I cannot pay
for something that was not delivered. However, in good faith, I’m willing to
work with Rodney on paying his cost of the material, but not his retail price.
It’s not what I asked for and was never told the price. Thirdly, with regards
to the opening for the AC unit. There was never any mention of that being a
cost or concern. Or even an item of work separate from the shed. We talked
about buying the AC unit to go with the shed. One sale was not dependent on the
other, and I chose to buy my own (which was much cheaper for a comparable
unit). I suggest that the retailer itemize it in the future and communicate
clearly what costs are separated from which options up front, before making the
sale. Rather than deciding those things and billing for them after the fact.
Lastly. I would like to hear what Mr Harrison has to say about damaging our
tree. In the fine print provided, don’t see any disclaimer included for failing
to protect trees used to aide the installation process. In spite of being weeks
late, uncommunicative and unappreciative of our help with installation, we have
yet to hear a single ‘sorry’ or a ‘thank you’ for any of it. [redacted]

I am responding to a complaint, #[redacted], registered by
[redacted] did purchase a shed from us which was delivered to
the site address as requested. There were circumstances which required extra
labor and effort to get the building in place. [redacted] has contested the
charge of...

$246.13 stating it was for a restocking fee on a window AC unit he
decided against upon delivery. The invoice in question #[redacted] Id for a $25 restocking
fee of the heat pump, which was referred to as an AC unit in the complaint.
This invoice also includes a charge $210 plus tax for insulating the floors as requested
by [redacted] in an email from [redacted].

Review: Purchased a shed from their Chesterfield location, they place the shed in unacceptable height, they advertise that they would prepare the shed location if it was a sloped area at a cost, but did not want to provide that service. Their installation employee was rude and stated it wasn't his problem, the home owner should have done it. they also delivered shed damaged and damaged further unloading the shed off the truck. I had to hire a third party that they recommended, then tell me they made no such recommendation and claimed the area was done incorrectly. they did fix damages two weeks later but refused to correct height. claiming it was at an acceptable height.Desired Settlement: Fix the resting stop and low, or at least refer to a compete company that can fix or return and refund.
