I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]  Still does not excuse the poor service for 2 years prior....  Virginia Linen's excuse is the[redacted] didn't know about the problems or complaints.... (shame on him)  ....my excuse is I didn't sign their contract, but rather my predecessor did prior to my taking over the [redacted] position in November of 2007 and I didn't have any knowledge of a contract or have a copy until Virginia Linen's [redacted] showed up at our office, without notice, after I had attempted to terminate service, and proceeded to get rather ugly about the situation.  Again, one-way.....their General Manager wasn't aware of problems and that is suppose to make it alright....but not alright that I didn't know about a contract.
In my humble opinion.... after 25 years of handling such matters, highly unprofessional and even more unethical.

Review: We have been customers of Virginia Linen for years. We always pay our invoices promptly. For over a year now the service has been poor at best. Missed deliveries and incomplete deliveries and the quality of the mats delivered has consistently been poor. I have called their office numerous time to complain and am often told the missed delivery will be made up and not all the times that is the case. I have never paid for missed deliveries....(once I informed their office then no issue has been taken with that) however, this is a service issue.... We depend on (or let me correct that.... we should be able to depend) these mats allow us to keep our offices clean. The nature of our business, (land surveying), means dirt, debris and mud) from both our field crews coming and going and our clients, (contractors). Until I called a couple of weeks ago to discontinue our deliveries I had never heard from a[redacted]... I actually told by the [redacted] that he had been unaware of any problem. Then I was informed we were under contract (news to me)... I was presented with a copy of contract signed in August 2006 by the former Office Manager, I became Office Manager in November 06. This contact automatically renews every 5 years..WITHOUT Notice. I truly feel that the lack of service and the lack of attention to our problems should negate this contract...Desired Settlement: I feel that we have put up with enough of Virginia Linens lack of service and desire the this contract to be terminated.

Please accept this as the response from Virginia Linen Service ([redacted]) to ID [redacted]:

There are always two sides to every story. Virginia Linen Service is an 80-year-old family owned and operated, local company specializing in linen and uniform rental service programs. Since 1934 our company has worked under the philosophy of treating the customers as “Kings and Queens”. We feel we have done very well, which has allowed us to be in business for three generations. We take good care of our customers and we are there whenever needed.

Our company constantly strives to deliver exceptional service and work with our customers on any service questions. When the [redacted] learned of [redacted]s complaints he addressed the concerns immediately. Since then service has been consistent and reliable. We are committed to fulfilling out contractual obligations and our renewal terms are legal and clearly stated on our contracts.

The linen rental industry is customer service driven. The satisfaction of our customers is our number one priority. Our company practices the importance of finding a workable resolution to each service concern. We learn from every situation and become a better company because of it.
