Virginia Nut Shop Reviews (1)

Review: These emails below tell the story. To: [redacted]From: "[redacted]" Subject: Disappointing purchase.Cc: Virginia Nut Shop,Back on April 14 I sent you the email below. I have received no reply. I have tried to phone you this morning (Tuesday) about five times. Each time I get no live person, but a recorded message giving your Summer hours of operation.Your website says that your nuts are guaranteed;"Refund Policy: 100 % Guarantee. We will replace or refund - let us know of any issues within 15 days of purchase."I am requesting a refund for three pounds of salted peanuts and two pounds of Spanish peanuts. Please confirm receipt of this email. -- [redacted]Virginia Nut Shop.Yesterday, April 13 at about 4:30 PM I was in your [redacted] store and purchased three pounds of salted peanuts, and two pounds of Spanish peanuts. We have purchased from your store many times in past years, but not recently, as we don't get to [redacted] area often anymore. Past purchases have always been excellent in taste and quality, always somewhat better than nuts from other nut shops. I noticed your store has been completely rearranged since my last visit. So I made a large purchase of nuts intending to stock up and put some in the freezer. Three pounds of salted nuts and two pounds of Spanish peanuts. I paid with my [redacted] card.I should have asked for taste samples first, before purchasing so many. The peanuts turned out to be quite deficient in taste. I don't know what stale nuts taste like, for I've never had any before, but my wife said these tasted stale. I sampled them again today, an my opinion is the same. They are no treat at all, and I am tempted to put them out to feed the birds. It's not just my taste. I'm comparing them to recent purchases from [redacted] nut shop in [redacted], PA, which is nearer to us. Their nuts are good, but yours used to be better.Desired Settlement: I have received NO response to my repeated emails. Their phone number gets you a recording and no opinion for a live person. Are they even still in business?I am asking for a refund of $21.50 for the peanuts I bought from them.By the way, your complaint form is one of the most tedious and screwed up web forms I've encountered. First it couldn't find the business by name (and the business has been there for MANY years). Then it wanted far more information that would have been necessary
