I highly recommend Able Asphalt Paving. The owner stayed with his men and made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Highly recommend this company.

Review: Sent in a silver water pitcher, sugar bowl and cream pitcher to be related. Received a call from them within two days quoting $528 for the work. I put half of the cost down when I authorized the work in Jan 2013. I was then contacted in mid March and told that the items were ready to ship just need the remained of the cost paid. I called them back same hour and provided my credit card which they then billed for the remainder of the cost. Then the items never shipped. I called back may times finally got someone on the phone and was told there was a problem with the pitcher and it would take a few more days. It's now June, still no items.Desired Settlement: I want my property back and I want my money refunded.

Review: In August 2013, I sent a 5 piece Coffee & Tea set and a pair of candlesticks for silver re-plating. to [redacted]. The price was $1750. I paid a deposit of $875 (1/2 of the cost) which was charged to my credit card. The work was supposed to completed within a couple of weeks. My credit card was charged $875 on 8/6/13 and $900 on 8/10/13 for a total of $1775. This was not in the agreement and I wasn't suppose to paid the balance until the silver was done. I contract Virginia Silversmiths via email but received no response. Over the course of the year, I tried numerous times to contact Virginia Silversmiths via phone but the phone was not answer. On the few occasions that the phone was answered, I was told that the silver was almost done and it would be shipped to me shortly.

So far, I have never received the silver and my phone calls go unanswered. Virginia Silversmiths has had the silver pieces for over 9 months to re-plate.Desired Settlement: I would like my silver re-plated according to my agreement with Virginia Silversmiths and a refund of $25.00 that I was overcharged.

Review: Initial contact with Virginia Silversmiths in October 2014 reassured us that our project could be completed by them, but to send for evaluation. Candlesticks were sent and within days of receipt we were contacted by telephone with an estimate. We needed to check with our customer to be sure that the estimate was acceptable and he was delighted. We were advised by [redacted] on the telephone that we would need to provide a 50% deposit and that the work could be completed for Christmas. The week before Christmas, we began calling, leaving messages and emailing to confirm the package would be on its way. No response. January 12th we called from our store and left a message. At this point we thought that they may have caller ID and a coworker used a personal telephone to call and they answered and claimed that they were closed for the holidays and that Mr. [redacted] was experiencing some difficulty due to the size of the items, but should be ready in two weeks. We mailed a certified letter to them on Jan. 12 expressing our concern of receiving no response to our e-mails or phone calls. January 27th they sent an email that they plan to ship out ASAP. Last telephone conversation was February 25th and we expressed concern about where the candlesticks were and that we just want them back, done or not. A promise date of 6 weeks has turned into 6 months.

Many e-mails and phone calls with no response and [redacted] knows nothing when we have the rare occasion to be lucky enough for her to answer the phone.Desired Settlement: We need to have this project resolved, completed or not. The items must be returned to us so that we can return them to our customer.

We want the candlesticks back!

Review: I paid for silver plating a bread tray. I have called several times and left messages. No return call. Also, the item has not been sent to me as promised.Desired Settlement: I want my replated bread tray!

Review: I brought Mr [redacted] a silver tray on January 7, 2014 to have it replated as some of the silver plate was peeling. He quoted me a price and indicated it would take a few weeks. I finally got it back today (April 21, 2015), over fifteen months later, after at least a dozen phone calls and visits to his business, requests to have him return the tray unrepaired, and then finally threatening to take legal action. The tray still has flaws and is now warped, which it was not when I brought it to him. I was offered no discount and was even required to pay with a check rather than a credit card because he was not personally there to swipe the card on his phone. I am extremely dissatisfied with the time it took, the job he did, the fact that I was still charged full price, and that I had to pay with a check.Desired Settlement: I believe I should not have been charged full price, if anything at all, but the employee present today told me she was not in a position to change the fee. I would like my money refunded for a job done poorly and much too slowly. I needed my tray on several occasions over the past fifteen months.

I sent 3 pieces of Silver to be restored in November 2012 as well as 1/2 the cost $350+/- with the promise the silver would be returned in January 2013, after numerous calls and emails, more than 50, I finally got to speak to someone in July 2013 who told me the silver was done and they needed the rest of the $, I gave them a credit card over the phone, the charge showed up on my account a few days later, the silver did not show up, again repeated voice mails/emails, none of which were reponded to, fianlly in november I called and got a person who emailed a tracking number, the silver showed up a few days later, looks great howevwer I would NEVER use this company or advise anyone to use the company, non reponsive and habitual lies about copmpletion and delivery are a warning sign of a bad company.

Review: I mailed four items to Virginia Silversmiths and payment was processed for $467.62 on March 6, 2014. The order was for refinishing one large silverplate tray and polishing three small Mexican sterling trays. They told me it would take three weeks.

I spoke with someone on the phone on May 29 and was told it was nearly finished and that delivery would be in one week. That was the only time that someone answered the phone of about forty phone calls that I made. They do not answer phone or email any more.Desired Settlement: Return my heirloom silver pieces!!!!!! Also, refund money for any uncompleted work.
