Review: I engaged Visahq.com to secure visas for 4 people for a Kenya vacation which required us to send our passports to Visahq. Once visas were completed, Visahq sent the passports and visas by [redacted] Somehow the documents were lost at [redacted] and we received a sealed empty package. We notified Visahq and after a couple of days and no additional package from FedEx, we were advised by Visahq to cancel our passports and apply for new passports and visas and they would not charge us their fees. We would still have to pay all the other government and consulate fees. Visahq did not insure our passports/visas thru [redacted] though they are well aware of the value of these documents and it cost us over $1400 to replace those documents. At the time we engaged Visahq, there was nothing on the visa form regarding insurance and Visahq did not give us a choice to select or pay for additional insurance neither did they make us aware they do not insure packages. Visahq did receive $100 from the [redacted] claim but refused to forward payment to us even after saying in an email they would give us any claim money. Visahq also turned a bill into collections for $500 for fees to replace the passports and visas after saying in an email that they would not charge me their fees. I never received an invoice via mail, email, or fax nor did I receive any calls or messages despite Vishq having my contact information for both work and home.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for the replacement costs - I have receipts and a recap attached.The [redacted] claim money of $100 turned over to me. Stop the collection process with no impact on my credit and no additional charges or action relating to these passports and visas. Compensation of $250 for the hours I have spent dealing with this and the stress this has caused.
