I purchased a used car from them them last MayThe car had issues shortly thereafter and sat on their lot for over a month waiting to be repairedSince then, I have been given the runaround multiple times regarding the correction of the issueThe car will not start regularly and have been told by them that it was repaired, that they’re waiting for dealer parts, etcThey were notified time and time again abaout the unreliability of this vehicle and nothing has been done to correct itI feel as though I have been taken advantage of by paying for a car that only runs intermittentlyIt is very difficult to reach them and when I do, nothing is resolvedI am an older person on a fixed income and feel as though they have completely taken advantage of meThe car has never been properly repaired since the inception of the warranty, therefore they should still be liable in resolving my issues

In January 2018, mother and I visited the used car dealer Vision Auto within a mile and a half of where we live to look at a car I was very interested in buying We had been looking at this same car at other dealers, most requiring co-signing in financing Stacy S***, Finance Manager told us she would get us into having this car right away with approval from their financier and a substantial down payment First, she asked my mother for what kind of down payment could she do, then she ended up saying they would have to have $*** in a cashiers' check to complete the purchase Just prior to the signing, I asked them for a car history report and they said "ok", but never presented one Instead, I proceeded to sign once my mother gave her down payment check to them, and of course, I was shown the "as-is" Buyers Guide I was told this car was only recently brought to the lot and we knew, because it was discovered by us the day before when we always shop across the street at ***

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Vision Auto LLC with a warranty for 3 months/4,500 miles. The same day I got the vehicle the engine light came on, I took the vehicle back to them, they say nothing was wrong they put it on a diagnostic machine and mention the warranty to me. I went back to them because it was most definitely something wrong with the vehicle, I left the vehicle overnight so their other mechanic can check it out,he said nothing was wrong. I took the truck myself to get it diagnosed, something cant back wrong, I contacted them, they told me to drive it until they mechanic can get to it, it wouldn't mess up. Two weeks later I hear nothing from them I contact them back they tell me the same about their mechanic, ok well two weeks later my engine blows in my truck. I notified them why I was on the highway broke down, told me to get the car towed to the lot who covers my warranty I did just that. Almost a month go by my truck is still there on the lot and haven't been touched, so I contacted them like I have been doing through this whole process; they then stated my truck was at the wrong shop and it will be moved to another shop. It is going on two weeks and I still haven't heard anything back.Desired Settlement: I will like for them to give me my down payment back and cancel the loan because it is not fair I have to keep making monthly payments on a vehicle I am not driving and probably wouldn't be driving . I do not want anything else of their lot; which I asked for another vehicle they stated they didn't have anything for me and they'll contact me but never heard anything back.

Response:

This letter concerns case ID [redacted]-Vision Auto LLC . On 1/19/2016, Ms. [redacted] purchased a 2010 [redacted]. The purchase was an AS IS purchase, however Vision Auto LLC purchases a 3 month 4500 mile service contract on each vehicle sold. The following day Ms. [redacted] came back stating that the engine light came on. We put the vehicle on a diagnostic machine and it read for an evap code (gas cap issue) . We had a mechanic reseal the gas cap and reset the engine light. She then took the vehicle to a mechanic days later and her mechanic stated that the catalyst converter needed to be replaced. Once we were notified of this issue, Ms. [redacted] and I came to an agreement that we would waive her balance of $750.00 on her deferred down payment and then she would replace the Cadillac converter. On April 19, 2016 we purchased an extended service contract for Ms. [redacted] to try to help ease her mind. Ms. [redacted] called back towards the end of March stating that her motor had blown. We had the car towed at the expense of Vision Auto LLC to Money Savers for our mechanic to see why the motor had blown. Unfortunately, the veh icle went untouched for 3 weeks because the mechanic was in the hospital. The vehicle was then towed to [redacted] Repairs, once again at the expense of Vision Auto LLC as courtesy to the customer. [redacted] assessed the vehicle as soon as their ava ilability allowed them to. Please see the attached mechanic report along with supporting documentation to the AS IS sale.
