this company has not finished the installation of my staircase and has not used the appropriate material stated to be used.This company has not finished installing my staircase in my new home and also used sub par material and not the correct material as stated to use.Because we will not pay them in full for a incomplete job they are saying they have filed a lien on my property.Desired Settlementfirst and foremost they better not file a lien on my property for work not completed..then they need to come out and fix the problem with correct material and to my satisfaction.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]-Managing PartneContact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@visionstairwaysandmillwork.comWe have installed what we were contracted to do through their builder. His complaint comes after we filed a lien on their property because of non payment. we contacted the builder over 25 times to try and gain access to the house and correct what the customer had a complaint about. No calls were returned until all parties were informed of the lien. We have agreed since we first heard of the complaint to fix the issue and the builder dropped the ball on the communication between us and the homeowner.Consumer Response that is a complete lie, [redacted] from the company came out to our house and told my wife and I that they were coming out the next day to repair and finish the work a certain way...he then sent people out and proceeded to repair it the same way they did it the first time after he told us that wasn't going to be that way.So my wife told them if they were not fixing it the way they described to us and the builder they needed to leave...I knew nothing about a lien when I sent the company an email demanding they come fix there horrible workmanship and that is when they told me the liened my house for non payment...when my builder did pay them half of the money and told them they would get the other half when the job is fixed and completed....This company wants to be paid for shotty work and does not want to stand behind there wormanship.Final Business Response We wish that the homeowner was not dissatisfied with the product he received. Despite performing our work months ago and not receiving a complete payment, it appears there has been a miscommunication as to whether additional work needed to be performed at the house. We previously worked through the builder for this house, and in response to this complaint we have again tried to work through the builder to make any changes that the homeowner desires. We have not been able to gain access to the house and perform any additional work, but we will continue to try address the owner's concerns. Despite this complaint, we believe that we provided a quality staircase which met the specifications we were given. While we disagree with the homeowner's concerns, we will continue to work with the homeowner and the builder on a possible resolution. Vision stands by the work it performed and the materials it used.
