Dr. Martin A. Schaeffer CNY Spine and Pain Medicine LLC
Dr. Schaeffer and his staff are the VERY BEST. I have suffered for YEARS, with Fibromyalgia pain. I was referred by my family care specialist Cara Holohan PA. This office truly listens to their patients. I was finally given Cymbalta by the WONDERFUL Caroline Berrios. Dr. Seo has given me 5 injections. The injections aren't painful at all. I even got to watch my shoulder injection. It was neat! I am now 99% pain free. My right knee has a mind of it's own, but not near the pain I was in. From the minute I walk into the office, until I leave I am treated like GOLD. The nurses and staff are TERRIFIC! I haven't had one problem. I wish this office would teach other offices how to treat patients in pain! THANK YOU! My husband said...hey you don't walk like Herman Munster any more!

Dr. Kirk Mendez Orthopedic surgeon Las Vegas
I had Rotary cuff repair. Surgery went well with a full recovery after a good year of rehabilitation. However the doctor along with his staff in my opinion lacked compassion. I was told that the type of surgery, rotator cuff repair with subacromial decompression was going to be a painful recovery because of the extend and the involvement of shaving the bone. I was prescribed, Oxycodone 1 every 6 hours post op. I experienced such severe pain that I had to go to the emergency room where I was given a stronger pain killer (Dilaudid). When I went to the follow up visits and told him what happened I was treated like a was a drug seeker. Was told I had to give back the Hydromorphone because I was given the other in the ER. He also said to me didn't you every have surgery before? Well, yes many times and never have I experienced that much pain in my life. I'm a nurse and we put high priority on patient comfort and his post op treatment is in my opinion was inappropriate. Needs to listen to his patients more and not assume things.

Thank you doctor Katseva M.D.
I have been a patient of Doctor Alla Katseva for more then 5 years when my family moved
from MA to NJ. Our friends advised us to see doctor and I am happy to be her patient all this time.
Doctor Katseva is a good professional in internal Medicine and Geriatrics and excellent at diagnostis. She is listening, discusses the problems and care for each patient.
Especially the patients and I felt her care during the epidemic and are grateful for the explanatory work on the need for vaccinations and safety.
Thank you, doctor KATSEVA!

Atlantic Cardiology LLC
I recently was referred for an abnormal EKG to a cardiologist. As a health care professional I was actually very anxious about what might be the cause of this finding. I was referred to Atlantic Cardiology , whom I was not very familiar with at the time. I was scheduled to see Dr Mohamed Shahid for my consultation. I have a family history of sudden death after an MI of my father at age 57 and I am now 64 years old. Prior to my appt I had a Ct Calcium Scoring which was the first time in my life that a 0 score was a good thing. I was impressed with the office staff who were all very attentive and informative. I was scheduled to have and echocardiogram initially and the technician was sweet, and explained each step of the procedure .I then had a nuclear stress test and the nurse Lisa was amazing, she reduced my anxiety from the moment I met her. She is calm, confident and an amazing nurse. Lucy the nuclear med tech was equally able to keep you relaxed and engaged throughout the procedure. They are true assets to this practice. When I followed up with Dr Shahid after my studies were all completed he reviewed all the findings and explained to me as a nurse but also as a patient the results. I cannot say enough great things about this group . From start to finish I left their office feeling better than when I went in. Thank You Mary O'Neill RN

Dr. Tatiana Keck
Very, very good experience. Dr. Keck is pleasant, nice, very knowledgeable and caring.
I am pleased that she is my doctor. I would definitely recommend Dr. Keck to anyone needing a good Rheumatology doctor. The practice, on First Colonial Road, are very friendly.

Review manipulation
Vitals.com manipulates reviews in the favor of Doctots and according to several online articles like this one https://www.reviewtrackers.com/blog/delete-vitals-reviews/
It seems to be a business in promotion. The site allow block IP addresses to prevent future posting. This violates the website's own claim like this https://www.vitals.com/faq#q7. The response from the customer service was the review of reviews was due to malecious activities, though they fail ti define their criteria for such categorization. Falsehood rules in that site.

+1

This website does remove all the truthful reviews about the surgeon that mutulated my healthy body for sake of money. On vitals he has only 8 reviews with one star over more than 20 years being in practice... Vitals is as guilty of my mutilation as the doctor that did it.

+1

Vitals.com has erroneously listed our home address as one of the office addresses. I have written many times over multiple months to vitals' customer service, offering the correct information. I have not received any response. This is an invasion of privacy made more outrageous by the fact that vitals.com will not respond or correct the errors. I can be contacted at [protected]@gmail.com

Review: I am writing to contact you in regards to two malicious postings that have been assigned to my Vitals.com, Physician Review.

I recently used your website to assist me in locating a new primary care physician for my elderly aunt . I found your site to be extremely helpful and used the information to establish an appointment for her with her new Internist who has been outstanding. Afterwards, I thought to go and check my own physician posting to see how it appears, and I was devastated to see that on 24 June 2014 someone posing as the wife of a prior patient of mine in 2008 claimed I killed her husband.

This very cryptic posting is Completely False and is dated 24 June 2014 more than 6 years from the time of the stated interaction in May 2008. There is a second posting dated 4 August 2012. Furthermore I have never had a patient encounter the likes of which they are referencing. In fact, I was trekking in the Himalayas during the period that is mentioned and can prove I was in Nepal from April-May 2008. I had already resigned my position at the Medical Center to take on a commission as an Active Duty Naval Officer. I was subsequently deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan and now serve as a Navy Physician and maintain an active medical license in 4 states along with a Board Certification and two subspecialty Board Certifications. I have never been subpoenaed and have never even had a legal case filed against me in any state during my 22 years as a physician.

I am of course extremely upset by the level of this malicious attack and I would ask that you remove these offensive lies imimmediately! I believe this to be the work of a prior junior associate whom I found to be writing narcotic prescriptions for himself on my Rxn pad. The findings and information were turned over to the proper authorities at the Navy.

Vitals.com must honor their policy and remove these False and Malicous postings Immediately!! This is a matter of Honor and Integrity!!Desired Settlement: I request that Vitals.com remove the 2 Malicous Physician Review postings under my name. The first was on 4 August 2012 and the second on 24 June 2014. These malicous postings were submitted years after I resigned from the Medical Center and came on active duty to serve with the United States Navy as a physician. I believe these were posted in an effort to defame me and they are Absolutely False and Harmful. I have submitted the above letter to Vitals.com to their Customer Service Deparment email and I have left countless messages trying to reach them to have this resolved with no response. In addition to the removal of the 2 postings I would ask that they provide me with the email information so that I can pass that on to the Command for further evaluation. Please notify me immediately to let me know that once this issue has been resolved.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I truly appreciate Vitals.com removing the malicous physician review posting that was placed on their website, but as I indicated in my letter and complaint I believe these false attacks are the work of a previous junior associate who was found to be writing narcotic prescriptions for himself on my prescription pad. I have reported this crime to the Naval Criminal Investigation Service NCIS and as such he has been charged and removed from the Navy. This individual has made threats against me and as such I am requesting that Vitals.com provide me with the email contact information for the person who fabricated such lies and is out to defame me as retribution for his actions. I will need to pass on that information to the Judge Advocate General (JAG) for reviewI greatly appreciate all of your assistance in this matter.

Review: My personal details including age are listed in [redacted]/Dr_[redacted]. The website vitals.com stolen my photograph from Florida hospital website and listed in their website. They listed my practice information and affiliations wrong and directing all the patients to other doctors. Once in a while I am getting marketing calls and asking for money. If we pay them, they will write good reviews.

Basically they are misleading my patients with wrong information and unethical reviews because I am not paying them money.Desired Settlement: 1. Remove all my personal information from their website [redacted]. I never gave permission to anyone to list my personal information (that's also completely wrong information). Basically, delete the page [redacted]/.

2. Don't make phone calls or letters asking for money so that they will write good false reviews.

Response:

On 11/26/2013 Vitals.com received an email from Dr. [redacted] requesting the removal of her profile from the Vitals website. On 11/27/2013 Vitals customer support communicated the following to Dr. [redacted]

Dr. [redacted]:

Thank you for contacting Vitals.

Vitals.com lists all actively licensed physicians in the United States. The information that we compile is a matter of public record on both a state and national level. The collection and distribution of this data does not require the permission or participation of the listed party. We are unable to preferentially remove or suppress entries on request and physicians may not decline listing with our service.

In the event that your listing contains any outdated or incorrect information, we will be more than happy to cooperate with you in providing only current and accurate data on your profile. You may send us any corrections/updates that you would like made to this email address.

Thank you,

Customer Care

Vitals.com

Her email request for removal was answered in a customary and timely manner and is the policy of Vitals for ALL removal requests. She was directed to send any and all future correspondence regarding this issue to the legal department for Vitals via registered mail.

Regarding Revdex.com complaint #[redacted]Vitals does not list ANY personal information regarding Dr. [redacted] on our site. Her information on Vitals is consistent with EVERY other physician directory on the web. We do not have a picture of her nor do we list her age.

In regards to being contacted by marketing regarding payment for good reviews. this is not and never has been a policy of Vitals. All physicians are rated by self identified patients and if there is any question that the review was not written by a patient, it will be removed by Vitals.

Review: I am very disappointed in your policy for accurate reviews. Dr [redacted] has a smear campaign currently against him on what he heard about this Dr from his ex-wife, and this has resulted in numerous people leaving reviews of him, despite having no first hand experience with his office or him. I'm all for free speech, but the value of your website is on getting reliable first party reviews from people who actually have experience with the providers. Otherwise your website is useless. I have reported this to you many times, and you've refused to deal with it. Please handle this.Desired Settlement: Please remove any reviews that are clearly not genuine reviews from people with first hand experience of Dr [redacted] in Tampa, FL.

Business

Response:

Our first concern pertaining to this complaint is that they"have reported this to you many times, and you've refused to deal with it". Presently, our response time to customer care emails is 24 to 48 hours. We have investigated all [redacted]@vitals.com emails for this particular doctor from this particular user and email address and have found no communications thus far. We would have to know exactly how this complainant contacted Vitals to report the negative reviews for the physician in order to correct the issue.

Secondly, per their concerns we have reviewed the patient ratings in question and we have, at our sole and appropriate discretion, removed all ratings which were determined to be in violation of our terms of use. When we're alerted to questionable content by a doctor or 3rd party we investigate as we have no means by which we can "screen" ratings beyond the automated language filters that are already in place. Should this physician continue to receive questionable reviews we would need to be notified in order to assist.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: This company states that it provides honest patient reviews of 1,000s of doctors. On the contrary, this company removes reviews that puts a doctor that pays for their service in a bad light. I am not the first person with this issue. It seems many other have had this same thing happen to them. After they removed my review, they failed to respond to several emails, and their phone number is out of service.Desired Settlement: I want this company to live up to the integrity it claims to have. I want honest reviews to stay up, rather than be removed because a doctor is paying a monthly fee.

Business

Response:

Response:

I have contacted this business various times, on multiple occasions, through several methods, attempting to get information on why 2 reviews I have left on a doctor were removed. It has been going on since December 2014. The company will not respond to my emails, nor social media outlets that I have attempted contact through. This company will remove reviews at their own discretion. Although their terms do state that reviews will be removed if they do not follow their Terms of Agreement, I left a review on a doctor that was not in violation of said terms. This doctor actually did me an injustice. My review did not have content that "contained profanity, that was racist, sexist, violent or unnecessarily harsh." It did not "violate any law, or in any manner infringe or interfere with the rights of others, including but not limited to the use of names, information, or materials that libel, defame, disparage or invade the privacy of any third party, are obscene or pornographic, harmful, threatening, offensive, abusive, harassing, vulgar, false or inaccurate, racially, sexually, ethnically or are otherwise objectionable or otherwise contrary to the laws of any place where such Submissions may be accessed, constitute personal attacks on other individuals, infringe the intellectual property, trade secret or proprietary rights of any third party, promote criminal or other illegal activity, promote or advertise any person, product or service or solicit funds, are deemed confidential by any contract or policy, or promote violence, firearms, ammunition, or weapons." Regardless of the fact that my review was nowhere close to violating these terms, it was still removed. I have screenshots of the review on the website proving that the review I left did not violate these terms.you ought to not only apologize to me, but reach out to those in the future who may have their reviews removed because they "violate terms". While reaching out, you also ought to give an explanation of which terms were violated, and what specifically in their review violated those terms. That way, you can justify your actions for removing a review, allow the patient to amend their review, as well as keep your website honest for those that utilize it to find a care provider that is right for them.

Review: This website advertises to have credible reviews of different doctors by previous patients. However, this website will not allow the user to view negative reviews posted. This misrepresents the actual reviews and only portrays the Doctors in the positive light. How can people make decisions on reviews that are not true reflections of actual patient's thoughts. I believe this to be a misrepresentation and bad service. There should be a disclaimer posted visibly on the website.Desired Settlement: I would like a disclaimer posted visibly on the website or allow visitors to read negative reviews

Business

Response:

All patients are allowed to rate and review providers on Vitals.com and those submissions are evident on the site. We have many thousands of providers with negative reviews published onVitals.com and we do not and will not publish only positive reviews to portray any physician in a purely positive light. However, we have stringent guidelines regarding such submissions and they are outlined in our Terms of Use policies located directly on the site. A portion is outlined below,Your Submissions will not violate any law, or in any manner infringe or interfere with the rights of others, including but not limited to the use of names, information, or materials that (i) libel, defame, or invade the privacy of any third party, (ii) are obscene or pornographic, (iii) harmful, threatening, offensive, abusive, harassing, vulgar, false or inaccurate, racially, sexually, ethnically or are otherwise objectionable or otherwise contrary to the laws of any place where such Submissions may be accessed, (iv) constitute personal attacks on other individuals, (v) infringe the intellectual property, trade secret or proprietary rights of any third party, (vi) promote criminal or other illegal activity, (vii) promote or advertise any person, product or service or solicit funds, or (viii) are deemed confidential by any contract or policy. We reserve the right to remove any review that we feel violates these policies.

Review: Vitals.com operates a website that allows anyone to post anything about any doctor in this country. For the second time in less than two years, they have allowed an obviously disgruntled individual to post slanderous gossip about me that could potentially negatively impact my career. The last time this happened, I had to have my attorney contact them in order to get them to remove the comment from their website. This time, they have yet to respond to my emails or calls requesting that the new post be removed. They apparently do nothing to monitor posts before they are made public and therefore allow their site to be a public forum for slandering doctors. I am considering pursuing a class action lawsuit against them if they are unable to do anything to protect me from such slander on their website.Desired Settlement: See Complaint Text

Business

Response:

Per federal regulation in both "The Millennium Copyright Act" and "The Communications Decency Act.", the federal government of The United States does not require interactive conduit services (such as us) who provide a forum in which users can submit interactive and/or user-generated data perform any measure of verification of the content published by 3rd party users of our service. Furthermore, per HIPAA regulations, patient identities and patient files are private and confidential. We have no access to patient data that would permit us to perform any type of "verification" of anything that is expressed on the ratings portion of our site. Vitals and every other conduit ratings service out there cannot "guarantee" anything related to the alleged "authenticity" of opinion-based, user-generated ratings. We do however screen for profanity, vulgarity, racism, sexism, threats of physical violence, attacks on religion, or other similar content which would not be appropriate for public broadcast/consumption. When we're alerted to questionable content by a doctor or 3rd party we will investigate as we did immediately when notified by this physician.

Review: Vitals.com provides patients a way to rate doctors.

I received a very poor rating that I am concerned about and have tried to contact vitals three times.

They do not provide any phone number.

They have not responded to my emails.

My issues are:

I think it is negligent to allow ratings without any form of validation or verification that the patient actually saw the physician.

There is no date on the review so it offers no context.

There is no comment with the review either, and ultimately it is completely unhelpful.

I am a pathologist and generally don’t see patients

For the rare times I biopsy a patient, it can be done as drop in or they can make an appointment in advance. Patients don’t know to ask for me specifically, they are sent by their physician for a biopsy, so there is always a Pathologist available in our group to do the biopsy. We don’t have a waiting room, or patients ahead of them “in line”. and there is NO wait. When I do the biopsy I spend over an hour with them.

So to be rated poorly on ease of making an appointment, promptness, wait time and time spent with physician seems fraudulent. “Followup after visit” rating also seems irrelevant. It is of course my opinion that I have a very gentle bedside manner, and am very careful to fully explain the procedure and answer all questions.

It is exceptionally disturbing that one rating, that I believe is fake, can make me pop up on google as “poorDesired Settlement: I want the review deleted.

I would like the site to have transparency on how they verify the validity of the reviewer.

I would like the ratings allowed to be relevant to the practice of pathology if that can't be done, then I would like my name deleted from the site.

Response:

Vitals has received two emails from this physician requesting direct contact. This morning the doctor was contacted via email explaining that our preferred method of communication with [redacted] issues is email as it provides a written record of the complaint and the resolution. We have deleted the negative review as this physician does practice a specialty that does not require patient interaction. We have also reached out to get the correct information she wants updated on her profile. We have provided a direct email address in lieu of [redacted]@vitals.com so that she understands her concerns are being taken seriously by a human.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: I have been trying for over a year to have my review of a doctor removed from their website...I have used their website's e-mail multiple times (5) and I have left numerous telephone messages asking for a return phone call to no avail. I have not received any response to any of my communications thus far.Desired Settlement: I would like my review (of Dr. [redacted]) and my name ([redacted]) removed from Vitals.com's website. I also think that they should not post that they will respond to consumers since they obviously do not...this is clearly not a reputable website.

Business

Response:

We apologize for any trouble this user is having with our customer care department and we want her to know that her review has been removed as requested. We have searched our database for any record of emails received by this client. According to our system, we received an email from her on 6/21/14 and another on 6/26/14. Our system records all received cases and their disposition so we are not sure why we do not have any records of the three additional emails she claims to have sent. If she would like to provide the emails to us perhaps we can determine the cause of the communication failure. Again our apologies.

Consumer

Response:

Thank so much for your time and consideration and so promptly and beautifully handling my complaint regarding Vitals.Com. After over a year of trying to deal with them myself and making at least ten different attempts at communicating with them, in one day you have handled the situation!

I have reviewed the unfortunately disingenuous response made by Vitals.Com in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that while their response is not satisfactory, finally responding to my request is. Thank you again Revdex.com!

Sincerely,

Review: I am a physician that has had libelous information about my personal life promoted to the general public through Vitals.com website. This company has posted one patient complaint against me which is solely a personal attack against my integrity and character. This complaint states that I am a homosexual, have AIDS and take aids medications. It addressed other items which only pertain to my personal life. This information is untrue and libelous. This company made no effort to filter out such personal attacks against me. This item was posted on June 6, 2013 and the existence of this comment was brought to my attention late last thursday 9/13/13. I immediated attempted to contact the company through their website and have received no response to my request to have these lies immediately removed from their website. I fount their phone number on line and it goes directly to voicemail.Desired Settlement: Immediate removal of libelous entry from their website. Explanation why they did not screen out such a clear personal attack and not a commentary on my clinical skills or customer service? This company should be shut down as their product is detrimental to medical professionals and useless to the general public health care consumers.

Business

Response:

The complaint in question was brought to the attention of our Customer Care department on September 16th 2013. The patient rating in question was reviewed upon receipt of Dr. [redacted]'s complaint and the content, which was determined, at our sole and appropriate discretion to be in violation of our terms of use was promptly removed. We consider this matter to be fully resolved at this time.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: The company did not address why it allowed such and inappropriate response to remain on their web sure for over three months. The comments this company allowed to be accessed on their website via google search of my name was potentially damaging to my reputation and business. Why would Vitals allow such a personal attack against me remain on their website? The review Vitals posted has absolutely no bearing on my practice of medicine? How can vitals ethically stand behind their business practices, particularly when they are unjustly harmful to professional reputations? How can they stand behind

Vitals did not respond as to why they allowed such salacious and unverified comments to remain on their website for over three months? What type of business would act in such a reckless and irresponsible manner?

Why does this company not have some level of accountability to avoid libel against health care professionals? This company appears to be focused on its bottom line at all costs.

Review: I in the past several months have emailed customer support at vitals.com at least nine times and have contacted their consumer phone number and have left detailed message four times, and no one has ever responded, acknowledged or did anything to resolve my simple request. I have repeatedly provided all required information to delete two reviews I posted and according to their own terms of agreement vitals is to delete reviews upon request of the poster. They have violated my consumer rights, have proven total lack of regard and respect to the public, and have been deceptive in their claim of customer support and service. I am requesting my reviews be deleted and to be compensated times 3 for my documented long distance calls.Desired Settlement: I want compensation x's 3 for my long distance phone messages never responded to and for vitals to apologize for my time and effort consumed because of their failure to fulfill service or offer any claimed customer support, and to delete my reviews as requested.

Business

Response:

We have combed our email records and we do see that one time (not multiple) on March 29th at 12:56 am the user sent in the information we requested to have her reviews removed. This included the state the doctor practiced in, the date the reviews were left and the IP address from the computer she used to author the reviews. We apologize for missing this information and the reviews have been retracted. Customer care however does not have any records of messages left by the user in regards to her desire to have the reviews retracted.

Review: Vitals.com has a posting located at: http://www.vitals.com/[redacted]e

The address listed is incorrect as I am no longer practicing dentistry and not located in that city.

Vitals.com has allowed an anonymous poster without any objective findings/complaints to rate me 1 out of 5 stars and no explanation.

The review is materially damaging to my reputation. It was recently posted, which cannot possible apply to me as I do not practice in [redacted].

I have tried multiple times to contact Vitals.com at their listed phone number and via their online email contact form as well as through my personal email to [redacted].

They do not reply nor answer the phone.

I am seeking for the review to be removed as it is not based on any objective review process, is anonymous, and is not based on actual patient care.Desired Settlement: I am seeking for my online profile that lists my name and incorrect address to be removed from Vitals.com as well as the review that is bogus.
