I dined at the Viva Bene restaurant on 2 occasions because I was given some gift certificates. The first time I had went there I ordered veal and it came out completely raw and cold. I showed the hostess and sent it back and ordered another meal. The next meal was good and had no further issues that day. The next time I went back I will have to say was the worst restaurant experience I ever had. I ordered the same meal I had got the visit prior and it was Shrimp Primavera. I ate the veggies first and some shrimp but when I proceeded to eat the pasta it was bland and flavorless, the only seasoning it seemed to have was a whole lot of black pepper which was gross. I then ordered something else but when it came time to pay the bill I had a Gift Certificate and the [redacted] told me I couldn't use it that I needed to pay the whole bill. He tried saying the Gift certificate was only good during dinner hours. I told him the other day when I went there I used the same certificate and it was during lunch. He said I don't care you can't use it. I showed him that it didn't state that anywhere and told him he needed to accept it. He finally agreed to but then I realize I was charged for both meals and said because I ate some of the shrimp so I agreed to pay for the shrimp but not the whole meal because I didn't eat it. He started yelling and being very rude and said no you owe me [redacted] I told him to please call the police because he was arguing with me. My friend I was with decided to pay the bill and we decided to leave. He was very rude and not willing to listen. The bathroom was disgusting as well. We have a policy here, not to accept the vouchers ([redacted] or any other) during the lunch hours!This is because our lunch prices are so low, and my establishment can not afford to accept a voucher (a $15 voucher costs less than $5)! A limitation on the vouchers includes the fact that they must be used only for dinner!However, We did make an exception for [redacted] to use on both visits!On her 2nd visit, a week later, she brought another one for lunch!As she mentions in her statement, she ordered a number of dishes totaling [redacted] (One being Shrimp Primavera)!She ate half of the shrimp dish and then asked the waiter to wrap the rest!Once the rest of food packed in front of her, she asked for the reimbursement!This is unacceptable, and I don't believe any establishment would allow that!!
