Eleven months ago, on July 11, 2013, I contracted with Williams Paving to redo my existing airport mix driveway. Price of [redacted] was immediately paid after the work. My past driveway lasted 8 years and was slightly worn, so I asked Williams to add additional airport mix and roll it out so that it would continue to look good and last for years to come. We have previously lived through 8 winters with snow plowing done every year at least 10 or more plows per season.When I returned to my home, 11 months later, after being away many months, I discovered that the driveway had worn down in many places to the original base driveway and further, after a rain shower, I discovered that there were many shallow pot holes collecting water.When I called Williams he stated that "I did not give him any technical specs for the job" and my answer was that I was not the Mass Pike and as a homeowner it was his responsibility and job to suggest and direct me as to what was necessary to continue to enjoy a well done, good looking and long lasting drivewaynot one with low and uneven spots.He blamed the snow plow and I told him that it was the same company that I had used for the past 3-4 years and nothing had changed. It was a poor job and he has refused to discuss or even suggest what he might do to correct the performance. He is in the community many times and certainly with a load of airport mix and rolling it out, it should certainly level off the low spots and pot holes and provide years more of quality and service.The [redacted] in the office has returned his calls and basically stated that Mr. Williams will go no further with this.I am totally dissatisfied with his performance, attitude and service.Product_Or_Service: Redo Driveway with same airport mixDesired SettlementCorrect the poor job or return the [redacted] so that I might contract with a more reputable company.Business Response In July of 2013 Mr. [redacted] hired W.E. Williams Paving instructing us to deliver and spread a load of driveway mix on his driveway. We completed this project for Mr. [redacted], billing and receiving prompt payment. He was very happy with his driveway. 11 months after completion, Mr. [redacted] called our office stating he was not happy with his driveway and wanted us to complete this project again at no charge. We looked at his driveway and in our professional opinion found it only needed a minimum amount of raking. This is not unusual due to the previous long hard winter and normal wear and tare. We explained this to Mr. [redacted] who did not agree and continued to insist on getting his driveway re-done at no charge. He called our office continually from different telephone numbers for two weeks until we finally asked him to please stop calling us. We have done work on many, many driveways, several in his area and have never had any complaints.
