Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/06/02) */
First off, we would like to apologize to Mr. [redacted] for the confusion on the service appointment May 23rd. We have a new Service Advisor on staff that made an honest mistake and told Mr. [redacted] we were open. When I noticed his mistake, I emailed...

Mr. [redacted] right away to let him know we were closed that day, and offer him an appointment the next day. E-mail was my way of communication since he and I had always arranged everything this way. As for the service appointments, His first visit here was Jan.22/2016, not Nov/Dec. 2015 as stated. At that time, he was concerned with two things, check engine light on, and tire pressure light on. Our technician concluded at that time, the engine light came on due to the low pressures in all four tires. The tire pressure light came on due, obviously, to all the tire pressures being low. This information was relayed to Mr. [redacted] and he was charged $46.78 for the check engine light inspection. His next visit in was March 30/2016. Never was he told we were booking 2 months in advance, as we all know, the economy is struggling in Alberta and we can usually book within 2 or 3 days. On this visit in March, Mr. [redacted] requested an oil change, a tune up, a check engine and tire pressure light inspection and a slow start on his [redacted]. We did the work requested. The slow start required a new battery -vehicle is 7 yrs old. The engine light was repaired with a software update to his [redacted]s' computer, and again, the tire light was on due to low tire pressure. We again informed him we do not do tire repairs, we could only adjust the pressures to turn the light off. It states in the owners manual why this light comes on. His bill for this visit- tune up, software update, battery, oil change was $814.62, no charge for the tire pressure light. His last visit here was May 24/2016 which was done at no charge, was for Check engine and tire light. I again informed him that tire pressure adjustments are a vehicle owners responsibility and that his right rear tire appeared to have a slow leak. We informed him to have a repair on it at a tire shop, or he could wait a week, we have new tire equipment ordered and would offer him a no charge repair. At that time he was also given a free oil change coupon for the miscommunication on the service date. [redacted] can not offer any warranties on guarantees on a vehicle that is 7 years old, there is however companies such as [redacted] that could offer him one. As for Wainalta Motors offering a guarantee on these two lights, again, its the customers responsibility to maintain proper tire pressure, and the engine light can be triggered by dozens of different things, as was explained to Mr. [redacted]. So, regardless of where any of our customers live or work, everyone gets the same, fair, professional treatment
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/06/03) */
