Waldorf Ford, Inc Reviews (22)

Review: Revdex.com, I believe I was over-charged for a repair at Waldorf [redacted] (WF). On 3 Feb 2014 my vehicle had an alternator problem and I had it towed to WF. The repair was completed the next day (4Feb) and I was surprised by the amount I was charged for labor. The manager was unavailable and since I had a warranty I did not make a big deal. My warranty company would not cover all the labor hours and said I was over-charged. The emails I have from WF trying to explain this do not make sense. I was charged 1.5 hours to replace a small 3-wire connector and an additional 1.8 hours for "additional diagnostic." My warranty company provided data showing the national standard via [redacted] for changing this connector is .5 hours, yet I was charged the above 3.2 hours. According to my warranty company I was over-charged $347.72 for the labor. I have tried to resolve this by email and phone, and when that did not work because my messages were not returned I visited WF and waited nearly 2 hours to talk to a manager. The manager stood by their numbers and said they were correct. He did agree that the sepentine belt they charged me for should not have been replaced so he refunded that amount. I have checked with three other repair facilities (including another [redacted] dealership) and all said the repair should have taken 20-30 minutes. I still believe I was overcharged and Waldorf [redacted] has not provided a clear explanation for me to think otherwise. My invoice number from WF is [redacted], my original POC at WF was Nat S[redacted].Desired Settlement: I have spent significant time trying to get this situation addressed including contacting [redacted] Motor Company directly. They say I need to work directly with WF. I would like a check for the amount my warranty company would not cover $347.72.

Response:

According to the service manager who met with [redacted], he spoke with him in regards to the service ticket in question. Our labor rates and pricing is pulled from our [redacted] pricing structures and not [redacted]. The invoice amount was in line with our [redacted] pricing structure and not excessive. The warranty company would determine the amount they are willing to pay back to customer according to the contract he signed with that company. However, we would like to offer a gesture of goodwill and split the amount desired with the customer and reimburse him for $173.86 that he has paid. We would also like to offer a letter explaining the issue with the alternator that his warranty company declined to help get the remaining balance paid to [redacted] from his warranty company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I appreciate their timely response. I would like the entire amount I requested, but I have already put too much time into this issue so their gesture is accepted. I would like for the letter they will give me to I want to be clear that it will include a detailed list of all the labor hours. I understand the rate they charge, what I don't understand is the labor hours I was charged. Time to diagnose, time to repair alternator, time to splice wires, etc... As long as all that is clear and makes sense I will consider the issue satisfactorily closed. Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Review: Thought I had bought a car from Waldorf Ford on Nov 6,2014. Found out on Nov. 21,2014 didn't have financing when I got a letter in the mail from [redacted] Bank. But my car was sold and am still paying a car noet on the [redacted] I no longer have. My truck should not have been sold if I did not have financing. I should have been able to leave with the [redacted].Desired Settlement: Either get my truck back or financing..
