Review: In June of this year, I traveled 550 miles from [redacted] In to [redacted] to attend my family's reunion!
While there, the air conditioning system in my car went down. I searched around the area attempting to find a dependable, reputable mechanic. My first cousin recommended Wallace Exxon, [redacted].
I took my car to them on July 7th, 2015. They diagnosed the problem quickly, determining the condenser, located in front of the radiator, had developed a severe leak, requiring replacement.
Mr. Wallace gave me a price for the repair and I agreed to it.
He suggested that I return at 1:00pm on July 7th for the repair which I did. I picked the car up at 4:30 pm. The air conditioning system seem to work fine. I left Virginia/North Carolina the following morning driving back to Indiana.
On my way back to Indiana the car developed a severe noise in the front end of the car, rattling and squeaking.
I stopped and attempted to locate the origin of the noise but could not.
The following morning after arriving back in Indiana I attempted again to locate the origin of the noise in the front end of my car and noticed the radiator/condenser unit hanging loosely by the radiator hoses.
I called my local mechanic asking him to inspect the suspension of the radiator/condenser unit in my car. He requested I bring the car to his shop. I did and he determined a number of bolts were either missing or not tight as well as the stabilizing studs on top of the radiator had been removed/eliminated for some unknown reason, suggesting the looseness of the radiator/condense unit.
My mechanic wondered why anyone would eliminate the studs. In attemptjng to find an answer we spoke to the management of a local [redacted]. He suggested that the studs were probably broken off or sawed off because the mechanic had installed an incorrect condenser. In my opinion, therefore, Mr. Wallace or his garage should pay for the replacement of the radiator of about $400.00.
While I have written Mr. Wallace a letter asking him to pay for the replacement for the radiator I haven't heard from him in over four weeks. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue. Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,
[redacted]Desired Settlement: To pay for the installation of the new radiator
