In July of 2016 I hired Walter Byrd construction to do repairs at my home. The repairs were both inside and outside. Two weeks later Walter dropped a trailer in my front yard. A week later When he came back He and his worker started the work. On the first day his coworker put his foot through the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. When I told Walter about it he said that would be another claim . So basically he blew me off. He worked one day took three off. When he came back to work a week later he and his co worker only worked a few hours. I was trying to be very understanding so I didn't complain to much. But after waiting for 3 weeks for him to come back I got angry. Meanwhile the trailer sat in my front yard. Killing my grass and making my yard look like a dump site. I put up with all the excuses and delays because I didn't think I had a choice . I waited for him to finish the roof . After 3 months the shingles were on . But he didn't replace the A frames that were rotted on the roof so now it has to be replaced again . The repairs still have not been finished . I haven't been able to get in touch with Walter by phone or mail. I still don't have any electricity on one side of my house. This is part of the repairs needing to be done. Walter started the rotted back porch repairs at least 1 month ago and has not been back. I haven't seen any receipts for anything yet .I requested them but he blew me off with that too. My insurance company has been asking when the repairs will be done. I have no response because I can't reach Walter . I have even gone so far as to try to reach him through family . But this hasn't been successful either . I would like to resolve this as soon as possible. Thanks to this situation I am losing my home. The insurance company assures me they will not release any further payment until it passes inspection .
