support we offer to clients with installation issues. [redacted] was speaking to our staff, then Regional Manager, and eventually, to me.Given ongoing difficulties to locate the source of the issue by the contractor, Warmup dispatched one of its employees to the job site at [redacted]s home. This is uncommon as we are not contractors or cannot charge for this labor. We cannot reasonably be expected to rush to every job site where an issue arises. It is most often installation-related and can be solved on-site (with our tools if necessary) by the contractor who charges for the work. The source of the issue was a slight damage to the cable that resulted in an electrical fault. Our employee used the tool to locate the issue and left it to the electrician and tile contractor to complete the repair and tile work. The cable tested fine at that time. Though after the repairs were completed, the cable proved to be problematic again. Our position is that the repair wasn’t completed properly. From Warmup’s perspective and based on our experience, this is an installation issue. We supply tools and phone support to assist contractors in resolving installation problems. We cannot be expected to personally attend each job site with issues that are installation-related. No company in our line of work offers this service either and few offer the free tools and 24/7 technical assistance as we do.On 11/25 I offered [redacted] a free mat to replace the one his contractor installed, or continued support to his installer in resolving the problem. I am in agreement with [redacted] that he deserves a heated floor. But it is a claim to be made with the installer, not the manufacturer. When you are unhappy about your steak-frites at the restaurant, you don’t complain to the cattle-farmer, but to the chef.[redacted] would like Warmup to replace the heating and the flooring in the bathroom. I understand [redacted]s position and viewpoint, but we cannot be held financially responsible for installation issues. Review: My Nightmare with a product from the Warmup Corp.:

March 12, 2015 purchased two Warmup heating mats for under my tile in my Kitchen.

March 15 to 30: Installed Warmup heating mats.

At the time if installation: Electrician and tile guy properly tested mats to make sure correctly installed. Tile Guy had equipment provided by Warmup to test properly. Both electrician and Tile guy/s had installed this product before.

After installation, General contractor had me turn on the Warmup mat to make sure everything worked. I turned on both mats and left on for two to three days heating the tile. I had no issues and the mats worked perfectly, so I placed in “Holiday mode” on the thermostat.

July 2015 (not sure of the actual day)

On the 150 Square foot mat – thermostat had a red screen come up and state ground fault.

(NOTE: during the March installation and testing through July 2015, nothing had been done to the tile/floor)Desired Settlement: I am seeking to have my floor replaced with a new heating mat and all costs to be covered by the Warmup company. I have not been able to have any discussion with the company who now is using avoidance to solve their issues. I have not been able to discuss any settlement options
