[redacted] said that Ms. [redacted] will executor filed this complaint, that is was not filed by Ms. [redacted]. The individual [redacted] contracted with this business to do a remodel of Ms. [redacted] bathroom. He made 5 trips out to the job, provided material lists, responded to all questions...

about the process and necessary aspects of the job. After 4 of these trips were made [redacted] informed the business of the time frame this job needed to be completed by. There was not enough time to finish the extensive job she contracted. An example of this is that [redacted] required a heated bathroom floor, which in itself takes about 3 days. The business refunded [redacted] the deposit minus $500 for time and trouble caused within this job, that amount was delivered to [redacted] on the last of the 5 trips he made out to the home.

What he is counting as his fifth trip to site was when he dropped off an envelope marked "Terri" to Mr. [redacted] that included a bill for consulting and a certified bank check for the partial return of the deposit. From this we were left to conclude that he wished to dissolve the business relationship. Review: [redacted] was hired to do the tile work for a bathroom renovation for wheelchair accessibility. The urgency of the project was clearly explained when he committed to a start date of Tuesday, May 26 and accepted the deposit on Friday, May 22. The night before the expected first day of work he said he would not be able to start as promised. The following morning instead of performing any work, he abandoned the project and provided only a partial refund, keeping $500. He included a bill marked "paid" for "consulting" for the information he provided during his quotation effort, despite the fact that no consulting fees were ever discussed or agreed to. The bill was disputed immediately. Precious time was lost and additional costs incurred as an alternate contractor was arranged. Later he agreed to a refund but not until some time after July 24. He has not proven to be credible, and it is unfair that all the money given as a deposit was not returned immediately.Desired Settlement: The remaining $500 should be returned immediately.
