I recently was a cardiac patient and wanted to express my thanks to all of the staff that cared for me. I was transferred in from another hospital because they didn't have the capabilities to address my problem. We read reviews stating this wasn't the best place in town but my care says different. From the time I was admitted in the transcare unit until I was placed in a room in unit 5100 there was a very professional and knowledgeable staff explaining the next step of the process with kindness and compassion for me. The cardiac cath lab discovered unforeseen problems and addressed them immediately which more than likely saved my life. My nurses took premium care of me including removing an IV that my local hospital said couldn't be relocated and positioned it in a much more comfortable location. My discharge process was very swift and left me with complete instructions for my aftercare including a list of medications, when to take and where to pick them up from. By the time I got home I had everything I needed to care for myself. Thank you very much Washington Adventist!

Review: A woman called claiming to be from Washington Adventist Hospital. The number that came through my caller ID was an [redacted] number listed as unavailable. When she identified herself as from WAH I asked why her number was listed as "unavailable" on my caller ID. She did not know. She asked for my husband by name. When I said he was not here, I offered to take a message. She gave out the number ###-###-####. I asked which office she was calling from and she refused to divulge. I asked for whom he should ask, and she replied "Anyone." I suspect this woman of fraud. If she were a bill collector, then wouldn't my caller ID identify her as Washington Adventist? Why should must husband call a random 1-800 number and give out his identifying information to someone who will not identify herself or her office. I am also concerned because my husband HAS been a patient at WAH. Has someone within the organization giving out his name and contact information? What else do they know about him?Desired Settlement: I would like this 3rd party identified. I would also like WAH to investigate possible leaks of patients' personal information. I want reassurance from WAH that my family members may seek treatment there without 3rd parties gaining access to the information.

Review: after having a service at this hospital, I received my first bill approx the first week of april after my insurance paid its part. I therefore called the hospitals billing provider and told them I would send $100 a month until paid off. I paid this the first 2 months but had to cut it back to $50 a months because I was receiving bills from all their affiliates from my service. their pathologist, radiologist, anathesiologist,, laboratory, emergency doctor as well as my personal doctor. after my 1st 50 dollar payment which was my 3rd payment, my next statement stated that my bill would be send to a collection agency unless I paid the 100 dollars per month. I called and explained that I was trying to pay all the other doctors (whom are all paid ) so everyone would get some payment every month and I could only send them 50 dollars. on the phone I was threatened again that my account would go into collections. I continued to make my 50 dollar payments per month and on august 30th I received a letter stating my bill account went to a collection agency. roughly in 5 months ive paid them over $300., which I feel is suffice. it was premature to send my account to a collection agency being ive been paying every month, doesnt make sense. I feel as though the hospital has not only threatened me but is trying to bully me. im humiliated because of the situation the hospital has caused and im upset since ive worke so hard to establish good credit that this hospital could be so inconsiderate not only to their patients but their affilates. I almost forgot, but the for the last month ive been reciveing automated recordings DAILY from the hospital about paying my bill, which I feel is a form of harassment as well.Desired Settlement: I do not want my account in a collection agency, I can pay the hospital directly

Review: I had a procedure at this hospital and the nurses were very careless. My IV was hung to drag the floor and eventually tripped over later by my doctor. The IV was painful and after several reports of pain it was never removed and replaced. After the dramatic and traumatic experience at this hospital I filed to receive a copy of my medical records from the hospital DIRECTLY. I never received my records and now I am being billed by a 3rd party for the records they claim were emailed to me. The company is called [redacted] and they are trying to collect money for records that they were not authorized to even see. The request for records was made directly to the hopsital and now [redacted] claims I owe them money for something I didn't receive. They would not tell me who I could contact at the hospital or at [redacted] to actually get my records so I can pay the bill for them. I refuse to pay for something to a company I was not working with, especially when I didn't receive what I requested. This is unacceptable and poor practice by this hospital. This also better not be reported to a credit agency. They couldn't even confirm the email address they sent it to and I never received anything via email or mail. I also never received any type of bill from the hospital indicating I was sent records and now owe the amount requested.Desired Settlement: Send me my medical records and an invoice, and I will pay it. Send me nothing, and you get nothing. Very poor practice and major scam to effect patients more than the physical agony they already cause. I now have nerve damage from their treatment to be topped off with this hassle.
