Washington Auto Mall Reviews (4)

Review: I was on the Washington Auto Mall Website where I clicked their option for car availability for a 2011 Honda Accord. I received an email immediately stating the car was available, the price, the actual stock number. However, when I presented them with my financing, they gave me a much higher price than was quoted me for the same car, same stock number, requiring that I pay an extra 2800 dollars to make up the difference in the price so I could get financed for it. I brought this to their attention and they said that the higher price was actual price and my quote in writing from the internet salesman was incorrect. Even though it was the same car, same stock number. I have the email on Washington Auto Mall letterhead as well as quotes from them for reference if needed.Desired Settlement: I want this on record with the Revdex.com so people know what they are dealing with when dealing with the Washington Auto Mall. THis to me is close to if not indeed a bait and switch tactic.

Review: I purchased a 2012 Ford edge on October 8 at the Washington Auto Mall that the dealer misrepresented. The dealer told me it had a navigation system during our test drive but he said he did not know how to work it. I went back to the dealer on Friday, Oct 9 because there was no sd card in the slot. So he gave me one from another vehicle and told me to mess around with it and see if I could get it to work. After endlessly trying I called Ford on to find out that I do not have navigation. It will cost me $1100 to purchase the new system. I have all of my text messages between the dealer and I discussing the navigation. I also sent an email to the sales manager and general manager but never heard back from either one.Desired Settlement: Im requesting that the Washington Auto Mall pay the $1100 for the navigation system.

Review: Called the dealership to have them adress a recall on my van. They asked if there were any service that I wanted done. I asked how much an inspection was and they told me it is free because I bought the car there at that dealership. My daughter took the car to have the recall and free inspection done. They made her pay for the inspection.Desired Settlement: Refund the money to my daughter.

Review: I have asked this business on three different occasions to remove me from their advertisement mailing list. They did not remove me. I traded in the Toyota about a year ago and purchased a Honda accord. I no longer own any Toyota car yet, they still keep sending me advertisements. They worked on my Toyota a few years ago. The wiring was bad. They told me they were going to do a computer diagnostic test on the wiring. When I picked the car up, they said there is was no such test. They said they would have to manually check all of the wiring. They said that could run into thousands of dollars just to check the wiring. I declined their offer. To the best of my recollection, they charged me about $275.00 to replace a burned out tail light. I paid cash. I gave $300.00 to the female cashier. She handed me back a ten dollar bill. I stood there looking at her, waiting for the rest of my change. She just ignored me. Finally, I got upset and told her that she shortchanged me. She did give me the rest of what she owed me. But, she had an attitude with me while she gave me the rest of the change I was owed. Every time I get their advertisements, it reminds me of how stupid I was to buy a Toyota. And, I also think of the waste of paper and trees used to send me advertisements. When I get their advertisements, it reminds me of how I could hear every little stone hitting underneath my car. I would never buy a Toyota or recommend anyone buy one.Desired Settlement: I'd like them to quit sending me advertisements. I don't even own that Toyota corolla anymore. I consider it to either be laziness, incompetence or harassment on their part, that they haven't removed me from their mailing list. I complained three times to them, in person about this.

Response:

We are happy to remove [redacted] from our mailing list and we are sorry that these mailers have been bothersome to her. As you are probably aware, we invest money to market to previous and potential customers to invite them to patronize our business. We are not interested in spending money where there is no chance of earning a return on our investment. Unfortunately, we had no previous record of [redacted]’s request to be removed from our mailing list. That being said, I would like to address the other concerns raised in Ms. [redacted]’s complaint.
