Washington Kitchen & Bath, Incorporated Reviews (1)

Review: On January 12, 2013, I ordered and paid cash for eight cabinets from Washington Kitchen & Granite, Inc. The cabinets were fully installed by late February, 2013. At the end of January, 2014, I noticed that the embellished molding on the cabinet doors was beginning to show cracks at the molding's corner seams; the cabinet under the sink was particularly alarming, inasmuch as, the crack was much more significant than that of the other doors, and one of the self-closing doors does not close. There appears to be a problem with the hinges. One would hardly suspect that these were new cabinets. I called Mr. Perry P[redacted] to advise him of the problem, he said he'd have to take a look at it. Weeks went by without any response; finally, I made a visit to his store to show him the pictures I had taken with my cell phone. His reply was that he would come to my home to take a look at the problem, also, I was told by him that he only buys the cabinets, puts them together, and sells them, in other words he does not want to take responsibility for manufacturing defects. Needless to say, Mr. P[redacted] never called or came to my home to address the problem. On July 10, 2014, I decided to call the Channel * Hot Line and they called Mr. P[redacted] immediately after they received my call. Mr. P[redacted] called that very same day attempting to put me off for weeks, however, I insisted that he look at his calendar and give me an appointment. After much persistence by me, Mr. P[redacted] came the next evening, July 11, 2014, and made a repair to the door with the severe crack and promised to order new hinges for the other door. Unfortunately this has not happened. Mr. P[redacted] is lacking in credibility and integrity and apparently has little regard for customer satisfaction.Desired Settlement: I paid $2,000.00 plus installation cost for these cabinets. I do not believe the cracks I am seeing are normal as alleged by Mr. P[redacted]. If the existing cabinets cannot be repaired to my satisfaction, I would like the cabinets replaced and reinstalled at Washington Kitchen & Granite's expense.
