Review: WSSC has been sending out outrages charges for the winter time period and in a large number of cases have been processing bills in excess of 10 times the normally billed amount.

When the company was contacted and told that something was wrong as that there had to be a mistake as that the usages they were reporting were not only unreasonable but something needs to be

investigated to ascertain why the charges were as high as they were, the customer service representative would only repeat the same canned response that you can apply for a high bill adjustment or just pay it and apply for a refund. Unsatisfied with this response we asked the company to prove that we used all the water that they said we used, as that without any intervention on our part - the consumption returned to normal over a period of 30 days, and we were met with the response that "we don't have to prove what you used".

After a heated debate we are only left with either paying an adjusted bill which is still high for the period they are charging for or have our services terminated.Desired Settlement: All we would like to be done is an estimated and accurate billing assessment for the period the reflects a reasonable amount of usage for the period and we should not incur the penalty of using our 7 year "complimentary" high bill adjustment for something we didn't do.

Review: Dear sir,

I live at [redacted] MD. [redacted]. urrently WSSC is doing construction in our area. Yesterday a gas pipe was hit at the site on [redacted] and [redacted] due to work performed by your agency. The fire department and the Gas company came out to the area and addressed the issue My concern is that this restoration of the new pipes is estimated to be completed prior to 4/16/14 per a letter I recieved from you dated 5/14/13.; this is a long period and I feel people lives are in danger because your workers can not distinguish the gas line from the water line. I am asking that you train your company to be able to identify the gas line. Last year, your workers were working on [redacted] and [redacted] and thwe same incident occurred.

I realize that WSSC use contractors; perhaps Master plumber employed by WSSC should be present on site to identify the gas lines to the contractors.

Another issue I have is that the workers are blocking both sides of the street on [redacted] and the Metro Access vehicle I ride is not able to get through. This is illegal according to Maryland's law and not fair to the residents in the area. Please inform the contractors to allow one side of the street open. An agent from WSSC confirmed this during an inquire I made via the phone.Desired Settlement: Please follow-up on the email that I submitted to [redacted]. The email to the project manager per a letter I recieved May 13, 2013 bounced back as a non-delivery.

Review: Mother is a senior citizen and never received a bill in months.

Received shut off notice via mail after shut off date.

Offered to pay full amount in person on monday september 28.

Was told that was not acceptable and that water could be turned off any time.Desired Settlement: Allow Mother to pay her bill on Monday Sept 28 and not turn off her water before then.
